“Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” is about to get some serious competition. The Los Angeles Times reports on July 29 that “Hollywood Hillbillies” is coming to the ReelzChannel and will give viewers an inside look at the life of another family from Georgia. Michael Kittrell, who is also known as the Angry Ginger, will be the star of the show.
“Hollywood Hillbillies” will follow Michael Kittrell and his family as they move from Georgia to California. Kittrell is best known for the YouTube video he made after getting angry at a “South Park” episode that mentioned gingers do not have souls. Michael earned the nickname Angry Ginger and gained popularity with his YouTube videos.
In “Hollywood Hillbillies,” Michael Kittrell, his grandmother Delores Hughes, uncle John Cox, aunt Dee Dee Peters and Paul Conlon will be moving from Grayson to Hollywood. Hughes is also known as Mema. The show will be available on ReelzChannel starting in January.
Kittrell has revealed that he earned a lot of money from his YouTube videos and saved it. This has allowed his family to make the move across the country. Comparisons to another popular family from Georgia have already started. TLC’s “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” is seen as competition, but the Angry Ginger and his family are not wasting their time thinking about Mama June. They have already started to promote “Hollywood Hillbillies.”
