    Default Beatles Covers?

I was cruising home and the GNR version of "Live and Let Die" came on. They did such a great remake. It got me to wondering-

What Beatles song(s) would you like to hear Chickenfoot take on?

Sorry to pick this particular nit, but that wasn't a Beatles tune. It's actually credited to Wings.

As for your cover question, I wouldn't mind hearing the Foot cover Helter Skelter.

I'd love to hear what Chickenfoot would do with "Happiness is a Warm Gun" (Mike and Sammy singing that ending would be phenomenal!)

The other tune that comes to mind - kinda random but I bet it'd be awesome live - is "I've Gotta Feeling."

I remember U2 doing a great version of that.

Back to the topic of Beatles' tunes though, I always thought the opening to the unreleased VH track, "Light IN the Sky" was very reminiscent of the intro to "While My Guitar Gently Weeps".

As for CHICKENFOOT doing a Beatles' cover, what about "Hard Day's Night"? It seems to tally thematically with other songs they've recorded, at the very least, and I'm sure they'd do a great job of 'hardening it up' a wee bit!

A rocked out version of 'Hey Jude'.

I do like some of the suggestions others have made.

    None.

I always think covers of The Beatles come up short, no matter who is doing it.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Aerosmith's Come Together isn't quite as good as the original, but it's one of my favorites, as far as that goes. And not that I'm an Aerosmith fanboy, but their version of I'm Down is maybe the best Beatles cover out there. Tyler and Perry add some grittiness to it that is nearly perfect when turned up loud.

Good suggestions guys. I wonder how they'd do Revolution. I'm thinking Sammy would do the traditional heavy guitar parts while Satch would run all over the top of it. Bring Mike in to add harmonies where the original has none. Chad, simply going crazy all over the place.

I know I'm going to get beat up for this one, but it's just crazy enough to be interesting - Yellow Submarine. I don't have any idea how they'd do it, except drunk! And they'd have a good time with it that would show through in the end product.

Motleys Helter Skelter didn't come up short.

Having said that, I can't think of one Beatles song that CF could do justice to. They're more suited for something harder like Zep. Heartbreaker/ Living Loving Maid would be sweet.

None just because if you are putting out an album, put originals on there. If you are going to cover a song in a show, do a Van Halen song not no damn Beatles song.

I got to thinking about my earlier idea of Revolution. Perhaps they could do it in a delta blues style, much like BBTW.

I kind of agree with DD, I like some beatles covers but once I started listening to the originals I just can't get into them anymore (I heard aerosmiths come together before the beatles etc).

I do really, really like the version of "you've gotta hide your love away" that eddie vedder did a few years back. it's very, very good.

I'm suprised sam's never done a beatles cover....maybe he's done one live (I think come together) but other than that I can't think of any. wow.
