I can't really imagine a scenario where Ted's voice would be amplified from the the control room talk-back mic and caught on tape like that. Wouldn't anything he said really just come through in their headphones? I'm guessing a well-planned moment was created to sound spontaneous (something VH made a career out of doing-and doing it well I might ad.) Uncle Ted actually sounds like he believes it happened spontaneously, but time has a tendency to blur and romanticize the facts. And it makes for a much better story. Brown m&m's anyone?

Here is an old interview from '81. Most here have probably seen it already, but in case some missed it. It is somewhat difficult to see as it is a magazine scan, and need to magnify it to read.

Eddie mentions Ted in this one about VH II.

Nothing new here, but this radio host Redbeard's website has plenty of cool articles and radio links about many different acts

Another interesting site to browse with numerous studio related articles.

Is this video interview of TT new? It must be recent from the way he looks.

Good read. Always nice to go back in time a little. Ted certainly was enamored with Little Feat. I've heard a lot of other people praise them too...but when I've watched videos of them on Youtube they strike me as a bunch of guys just meandering around with perhaps too much alcohol in their system. I saw one video where Bonnie Raitt got up to play with them and I thought she blew their doors off.

The section where he talks about micing and recording two sets of drums for the Doobie Brothers sounded like a beating. Never understood why a band would need two drummers. (Unless one is doing a different kind of percussion)
