I have seen Van Halen ALOT I guess . I am only 27 so I missed out on the Dave era for obvious reasons . My folks were always cool and supported my habit of going to see Van Halen live with my friends . Concerts I have been to are : Oh , I would like to see everyone else's as well , maybe some of us were at the same show at one point .

Damn Ed, that list makes me jealous. I guess that's what happens when you are nearer to a major market. Here's my list, sad as it seems after reading yours.

    bigdog , I'll be cool
See when Van Halen plays I am only 40 minutes from Auburn Hills and Clarkston , so they always play there . I keep my stubs too . I see alot of other bands as well . My wife likes to go see BEACH BOYS , CREED , Kenny Wayne . So when we can get a sitter we go .

I have heard of that place , outside venue ?
Pine Knob in Clarkston is like a shed with
a lawn out back on top of a big hill . I like outdoor shows , then they can really let it RIP the louder the better

First tickets I ever got were for Diver Down-third row right in front of Ed. They cancelled the show when he broke his hand and never rescheduled. Sucks, huh? Saw them in Louisville for 1984 tour and then on the 0U812, F.U.C.K. and Balance tours acouple times each. Had second row seats in front of Sammy for the F.U.C.K. show, which was a great one - but nothing beat seeing them with Roth on the 1984 tour - Dave was still doing the samurai thing, Ed did the short-lived "table-tray" guitar solo, Mikey did the "End of the World" bass solo, and Al had the rotating drum riser during his solo. Ed played keys on a few songs, and the show just kicked my ass. Yeah, maybe Dave was doing the same old tired "Let's go across the street and get drunk" routine, and forgot some of the words to a couple of songs, but it was propbably the best concert I've ever been to. Period.

    October '86 5150 tour
Summer of '88 Monsters of Rock
Saw 'em on the F.U.C.K. tour
