Default The Winery Dogs (Kotzen, Sheehan & Portnoy Project)

Richie Kotzen, Billy Sheehan and Mike Portnoy are releasing an album under the band name "The Winery Dogs." Kotzen is probably my favorite musician and is just getting better and better. I love this new tune. I'm all over this when it's released.

Oddly, no release date yet. May 15 in Japan.

Just saw this posted on Facebook, man what a kick ass tune! Really looking forward to this when it comes out!

I'm not a fan of Mike Portnoy, at all.

However, surround him with a guy like Ritchie Kotzen, and wow. This is really good. This isn't prog-metal wankery, this has good hooks and solid jams. I like it, a lot.

Kotzen is just the man. He's my "can't miss" musician right now. Billy sings great harmonies and that's something he's missed by just doubling/tripling is own voice over the years.

Kotzen has a great voice and a knack for hooks. As long as Sheehan and Portnoy keep their women away from him they'll be fine.

I was supposed to of seen Kotzen live this past weekend with Extreme but the show was postponed...

Richie is awesome. Great guitar player, great vocalist and great songwriter. He should be a lot "bigger" than he is... I look forward to hearing more of this new stuff.

Rumor has it that it will be released State-side in July.

Weird. Dunno why the huge discrepancy in release dates (Japan-May, US-July). Maybe they're trying to find a label to release it under?

Regardless, in the electronic age, this is always puzzling.

No idea. They (Extreme) just said it was postponed. Hopefully, they are back in the studio recording. I know new music is coming soon.

Hopefully, it wasn't because of ticket sales. They did say postponed, not cancelled....

I was supposed to see them on the night VH played Sydney...

The funk fusion breakdown from 2.50 to 3.20 is epic - these guy are playing off each other very well.. Sounds like something off of a CAB track, or maybe Stanley Clarke, but with a lot more hot sauce in the taco. Which means it is better.

This tune reminds me of Kate Upton's tits.
