    Great review stkildafc
I would like to see them at Rod Laver Arena Festival Hall sucks as far as being close to the stage.
I paid big dollars and saw them last year in Vegas and LA front row.
I also came up from Melbourne and when you look at what that weekend cost you could pay about the same and be in front row of they did a VIP packeage again if they tour here again.
I think they will Tour after another album we might get one more tour from them in Australia.
Festivals are crap standing for 11 hours to see one band squashed into GA I would rather pay top $$ and be near the front in a reserved seat.
All in all great to see them on home soil.

Hey GOO do you mean you asked them about a 2014 STONE FESTIVAL going ahead.
They must have had massive losses when you hear what the bands were paid.

Yeah, asked them directly if there were plans to do it again next year and they replied 'definitely'

Surprised the hell outta me. Figured they would be living outta dumpster bins by now.

I had a funny experience before VH went on.

As we waited patiently after Aerosmith put everything off schedule, a lady in front of me started chatting with me. She told me she loved Dave, and she had waited her whole life to see him. She sounded like a huge fan. I told her I'd played in some VH tribute bands and that I teach guitar for a living. When EVH's amps were wheeled on stage, she asked something like, "What kind of amp do you play through?" and I pointed at his amps and said "One of those!" She seemed impressed, as a non-guitarist fan would be.

We kept chatting, and she asked what my favourite VH song was. I said it kinda varied day to day, and that I'd have to think about it. In the meantime, she said hers were ATBL, RWTD, Top Jimmy, and Drop Dead Legs. Cool. I finally had an answer for mine. "Probably Little Guitars," I said. She looked confused. "You know, Diver Down?" I added. More confusion. "Ah, I have a lot of their music, but a lot of it I don't have," she said.

    It was really awkward.

Did you notice Tyler was being told to cut the set short, but he mockingly did the "point at the wrist" move back to whoever was telling him? I'd place the blame with Aerosmith. VH's setup seemed to go according to schedule, but Aerosmith's seemed to take forever. As I recall, everything was running perfectly until their long-ass setup.

Also, what was up with the ramp that was set up for Aero? They didn't use it at all. Wolf used it exactly ONCE during VH's set... but how the hell did he get up there? The stairs were taken away after Aerosmith!

I couldn't figure it out at all. There were monitors up there, so it was obviously meant to be used by somone at some point.

And Wolf somehow getting himself up there... it's the great mystery of that night for me, LOL.

    It was pretty funny.

My friend had a seat in the stands, and she was told sit down by someone who literally sat there yawning until Jump was played, at which point she stood up and got into the show.

Don't even get me started on the people who apparently complained that no Hagar songs were played...

I was there and two guys behind me were yelling for Right Now to be played. I think they were a little confused as to who was singing on stage...

About a dozen camera angles of the entire concert. Probably as close as you are going to get to an official DVD:

CNN may think my opinion matters, but you shouldn't.

I am listening to this concert while working, and I think it is pretty damn good.

If they play and sing like this the next time I see them, I will walk out very happy.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

    I know I did!

Admittedly two of the people I went with were massive VH fans (one of whom was actually over from Sweden and had never seen VH, the other is a fellow VH tribute band guitarist), but our whole journey home was basically spent recounting awesome moments from the concert.
