Default Gym rats: what's the best VH record for intense workouts?

This one's for you gym folks. What record/songs really drive you for an intense workout?

For me, if it's running/cardio 5150 or OU812 has the energy and speed to make you explode.

If you're talking weights, it's Fair Warning all the way. Or put it on a DLR era shuffle and hope you don't get Dancing In the Streets

They all work. Depends on the day. Lately I've been bouncing between Balance, Right Here Right Now, and OU812 a lot.

    .
VH with Dave ('78-'84) - The best years....the "real" VH.
VH with Sam ('86-'96) - Incredible era....."We have renamed this town 'New Halen!'.
VH with Gary ('98) - Fucking disaster. WTF was that??
VH with Wolf/Dave ('12-'15) - Amazing comeback. Smokin' album and tours.

I think ADKOT is probably their heaviest album. Also, from She's the Woman through Stay Frosty, you have plenty of tempo to keep you going.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

    Preferred pronouns: he/him/his

Hurricane Halen - Let's all gingery touch our sword tips!!!

Most of Balance, that dark and heavy shit does it for me. It's easier to go by songs, and the top two for me are Humans Being and Judgement Day.

You're right about Balance, Don't Tell Me is the perfect song to get you angry and want to lift heavy things.

Girl Gone Bad and Take Your Whiskey Home make me want to get medieval when hitting the weights. Fair Warning is the album to get down to when exercising imo.

    I lift "heavy" and intense...lol.

my music is blasting, I dont' look at anyone when I lift, I don't talk to anyone when I lift. I focus 100% on what I'm doing, I'm constantly trying to lift more weight or do more reps with the same weight I used last time (look up "DC training"). I was "almost" a competitive bodybuilder along time ago but my health wouldn't let me.

I have various songs I listen to when I train, the only VH songs I have on my workout playlist are:

    mean street
    light up the sky
    house of pain
    get up
    AFU
    judgement day
    pleasure dome
    amsterdam
    me wise magic

that's it, the rest is mostly megadeth, judas priest, metallica, sabbath, white zombie

can't train to humans being....it makes me think of all the bad stuff that went on at the time for some reason and (I know I'll get shit for this) I don't think it's a "great" song so I think of that too.....does it rock? it's heavy as hell but it's distracting to me.

Normally listen to heavier bands but ADKOT is good for working out to - i mainly do MMA functional training or spin bike sessions which are horrible but for some reason i keep going back for more.

The trainer and I were rocking out to Godsmack during the workout last night, that will get your blood going pretty well.

    Cool thread!!!

Listen to Bodycount when pumping the free weights, this shit has some filthy dirty riffs!

for those of you that don't know about Bodycount do a quick search and you will be shocked!

Some key songs from Bodycount's 1991 debut album; KKK Bitch, Bowels of the Devil, There Goes The Neighborhood, Bodycount, Evil Dick, The Winners Lose, and the infamous Cop Killer (banned track)!!!
