Too bad VH had to cancel some shows. Might have been a little further up that list.

Their pricing was way too wacky for sell outs…might have made more money not selling out though..

I remember really bad tickets going for more than $100….way out of line in most of the venues played. They also played in some weird venues in some not so rich areas....

They would have sold out everywhere if their prices were in line with Cold Play.
    Right here I say....

The ticket prices were a little outrageous. It might work for the bigger cities like NY, Boston, Chicago, LA but it just doesn't work too well in the middle markets. They were close to sold out in Louisville (the show I went to) but I think that may have been more due to it was the opening night of the tour and there were many people there who flew in from around the country to be there on opening night.

A better opening act would have helped too I believe. I don't think Kool &The Gang conviced a lot of people who were on the fence to go. If they tour the states again and expect to charge really high prices they would be wise to get a bigger named rock act to join them...in my opinion.

What's shocking to me is how many people overpaid to see that tone-def Skeletor who calls herself Madonna. 1.6 million? That's a lot of gay dudes.

It's all because they released Tattoo as their first single.

Opening acts have no bearing on ticket sales.

I agree, though. VH charged too much. I would have gone to Oakland and San Jose if they were a little less expensive. Instead, I just went to Oakland (and missed the only night they played Bottom's Up!!!!).

Kenney Chesney and Tim Mcgraw must have played stadiums because those a pretty big gross and attendance numbers for just 23 shows and 9 sell outs.

It depends though...like if it was maybe more of a twin bill or something like the KISS/Motely Crue Tour. Of course there is probably no way VH will want to split the gate with another big act though.

It's just damn impressive to see VH as a top 10 tour way above Elton John and Justin Bieber. Love the Cafe Wha picture they used as well.

Our band may still have some gas in the tank yet...
