    Default Kramer Baretta Liberty Edition

My brother in law has a Kramer Baretta Liberty Edition and was hoping to find info on if it was rare or what it may be worth. His father bought it for him at a local music shop back in 1984. It is white with a Statue Of Liberty painted on the face of it, hand painted under the clear coat. I figured if anyone out there would have any info it would be some of the experts here. Doing a google search I haven't even found any pictures of such a guitar. He thinks his dad paid around $1000.00 for it back then.

Thanks for any info that can be provided.

The liberty is a neck thru guitar srt up almost like a les Paul. They're pretty expensive nowadays if you can find them. They were made around 86 I think.

Kramer American models were Barretta, pacer, liberty, Paul dean, night swan , sambora, and one more neck thru model that escapes me. Just means they were American made with better pickups and hardware like strap locks and schaller tuners.

Just because it says American doesn't necessarily mean they were made in the US. ESP made a lot of the later models.

Yes, that looks like it from what I remember of it. I haven't seen the guitar in about 10 years. I'll forward him the pic. Thanks.

ESP made the bodies in Japan. All the American models were made in New Jersey of the Japanese bodies.
