It didn't get any cooler than this! At the time.

I remember someone saying they, VH, were there own opening act. Meaning they played a song before this was telecast. Then I recall them playing another song as they cut to a commercial, Runaround I think. So I count three songs played. If you were there, please tell us what the opening song was! I've always wanted to know! Thanks.

I have to agree BUT, big high-five to Hagar fans cuz Van Hagar was a really respectable high-energy, high-output, hit producing band that really impressed live. To me Van Halen is with Roth and is the "magic", got tip my hat to the Hagar era too.

I loved Arsenio's intro: something like "Eddie, Sammy, Michael, and Alex. VAN HALEN!"

Great live band, just sounded pitch perfect on most nights.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

The F'N Live Tour was the first and only time I saw VH. I think 4 Non-Blondes opened for them. Or perhaps it was Alice In Chains. Either way, we missed it (not really) because we were late getting there. They opened with Poundcake and ended with Top Of the World.

There was a guy running around that looked more like Sammy than Sammy. I saw him in the cattle chute going into the concert and then he popped up on stage. The spotlight didn't know who to follow! Hilarious!
