A little help with a Peavey Wolfgang

I found a Peavey Wolfgang and I am thinking about picking it up but had a question. I don't remember seeing the banding around the edge of the body so I am wondering what model it may be. The guy said it was made in the US. I looked at the back of the headstock and it had the EVH signature and the serial number was engraved. It has the floyd rose pocket routed into the body and has the d-tuner. So am I looking at the standard or a special? I should have looked closer at the front of the headstock, but I didn't...
Thanks in advance for your thoughts and comment.

Sounds like a US Special if there's no binding. Only a volume knob(no tone knob) and flat top? Then thats what it is for sure.

Funny how sometimes you can remember somethings and sometimes you can't... I went back tonight and it is definitely a US standard. There is binding, a volume and tone knob, and it is not a flat top. I guess the off white binding kind of blended into the amber color in my memory. I would say it is a 9+ on a 10 scale. Absolutely no damage dings or scratches. The neck shows no wear. So, it is now a member of the family. Spent the evening getting it all set up and absolutely love it. I hope I got a decent deal at $900.

Hi, I think you may have a Peavey Wolfgang special with a flame top. The binding on these are rounder than the standards
Is there a tone knob, does it have a solid colour?

Yea - that is what I thought also. The condition is perfect. I took it all apart last night, except removing the neck and inspected it very closely. Absolutely no damage anywhere. There were a few very very light scuffs visible only under a bright light, not scratches on the back that buffed out in about 2 minutes. Treated the neck, polished everything, put it all back together, adjusted the intonation, d-tuner and spring tension and it plays like a dream. It goes very nicely with the U.S. red flame standard I bought new about 10 years ago and my beat up old strat. These three electrics plus a Tacoma and Lyle acoustic make up the happy family. Best part of the whole deal was my wife thinking it was a good idea.

    Wow dude!!!

sounds like and Ivory standard you found for 900. What a deal!!! Grab it, set it up and enjoy the hell out of it. That exact model was one of Eds main axes back in 96. Lots of pics of him in mags with that one and a black standard.

good score. Send pics when you bring her home.
