"I figured when I have down time, might as well"

Well, that's EXACTLY what Michael Anthony thought! That was his line of thinking, and he really thought it was gonna be ok as long as he kept VH his number 1 priority.

nah, i think Mikes days were numbered anyway. They were gonna find a reason to throw him out one way or another.

Wolf seems like a decent guy, can play well enough too. But he's not the right guy for VH. He's just a kid playing in his Dad's band & that's how I'll always see it. For me VH is a lesser band because of it, I just can't take them seriously. Wolf is far better off forming his own project with musicians his own age. That I would welcome.

It's got nothing to do with Mike either, although I'd definately love to have him back. Billy Sheehan or someone of that era would have been a far better replacement in my opinion.

I just love how the "twelvers" like to tell some of us to "get over it". I am "over it", to me VH is nothing more than a studio project now. It is what it is.
“And what we have at our fingertips is arguably one of the greatest high tenor voices ever – that was in Michael Anthony. In our tiny little corner of the universe, that voice is as identifiable as the high voice in Earth, Wind & Fire, as identifiable as the high voice in the Beach Boys. Van Halen is an indelicate house blend of both – that’s intentionally. So I would always look forward to that reunion.” - David Lee Roth

Mike is better off where he is. He hasn't been respected by Ed, Al and DLR in a real long time.

And I do truly believe the line that we wouldn't have gotten tours or albums without Wolfgang's influence on his dad.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Billy was asked to join in early 2007 and he declined; thereby setting the stage for Wolf's entrance. Billy stated this in an interview a few years ago.

Eddie has been trying to get Billy Sheehan in this band since the early 80's.

That was Mike's line of thinking when he formed the cover band "The Other Half Of Van Halen" with Hagar?

Anyways thanks for the Wolf interview, he is a cool guy.
Thanks to him we HAVE Van Halen. PERIOD!

Agree with your last point Dave's Dreidel...
However, I did think DLR gave proper props to Mike on his radio show.

I like Mike. I like Wolf... I think he's earning his credibility with this bit of off-season road work he's doing... it's certainly going to round him out musically the more experience he gets. He's only going to get better... and take it somewhere new. ('',)b
