Default New John 5 interview and some good stuff on the Roth album

Here's a nice new article about a killer album!

    http://www.examiner.com/article/john...e-and-be-happy
Imagine a world without Eddie Van Halen.

"From the moment David Lee Roth appeared at the top of a giant runway that snaked through the Oklahoma City Ford Center audience Tuesday night, he wore the one thing that told every Van Halen fan that everything was right with the world. It was a maniacal Cheshire cat smile announcing happiness and enthusiasm that cannot be faked. Not only was the old band back together, it was thriving."

I really hope this comes out.

I really like John's playing and have loved DLR whenver he pulls out the acoustic.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

    Preferred pronouns: he/him/his

Hurricane Halen - Let's all gingery touch our sword tips!!!

I remember this being mentioned a while ago in another interview with John 5 and im not a big fan of his work and kind of liked his stuff with DLR but i really don't care if it comes out or not...but the way John talks about it, it might be pretty good.
Janie Liszewski did the IMPOSSIBLE she helped Eddie Van Halen get better. Deal with it.

The day is dunzo lets have some funzo- DLR AS IS

I'll just post the part about DLR. Just a guess here, but I'm thinking that the VH brothers might get upset if Dave released this album, so it will sit in the can for the time being.

Because you were tardy and therefore I get special privileges, Iím going to play my special privileges card right now. Whatís the story behind this David Lee Roth acoustic album?

Ohhh, god! Itís so awesome! So awesome, let me tell you! Me and Dave have been friends for a really long time. Weíve been really close since 1998, which is even weird to say because Van Halen were my heroes growing up. But for some reason, we just get along great. So when Dave has time off, he says, ďHey, why donít you come over and letís write some songs.Ē And we write really, really well together, so Iím like, ďOK.Ē So I go to his house and we grab an acoustic guitar and we start writing songs, and for some reason, man, we just click, and heís like, ďThis is awesome!Ē Sometimes, the same day that Iím over at his house, heíll book the studio that night and say, ďWe have to go over to the studio and record this.Ē So we started doing this on Daveís off time and my off time and we were having a great time. And at the end of the day, we ended up with fourteen amazing finished tracks. Most of itís acoustic, tons of acoustic guitar, I played bass on it and just hired a percussionist, and I think Gregg Bissonette played some stuff on it, who was in Dave's solo band with Eat íEm And Smile and Skyscraper and all that stuff, so itís a great album. I mean, itís a great album! I pray that it sees the light of day because it is incredible. Itís great, great songs. Itís mixed, it sounds incredible, so itís just kind of sitting. I donít know what heíll do with it. Of course, heís with the mighty Van Halen right now, which is unbelievable, itís the best, so who knows if it will come out one day. I donít know. Weíll see. But it is something else, because heís a great talent. Itís fourteen finished, mixed, amazing songs just waiting, just sitting there.
