I don't think there could be a better picture. That one is pretty dang cool in my book.

I looked at their site and I'm a bit confused. They mention the tilt back is 4.5 which isn't correct for a Wolfgang. Also, I don't find anywhere mentioning graphite truss rods. There's no notch in the headstock and the nut holes are rear mounted. The pics don't really match their description either.

If you want a neck that is correct in every aspect, you're better off dealing with Scott Fletcher than Musikraft in this case. I know mrjstudios has a RH Wolfgang neck from Scott. Ask him, he'll give you the lowdown also...

My neck from Scott has a different headstock on it (I ordered it with a 'paddle' so I could cut out the shape myself) but other than that, the specs are pretty much identical to a Peavey Wolfgang USA. I also went with Stainless Steel frets, just because I tend to wear through frets faster than most people... and I'll never go back to regular nickel frets.

But mine has the graphite reinforcement rods, the 15" fretboard radius, the Wheel truss rod adjustment, the same heel dimensions, and the rear profile like a WG. As far as feel goes, I have an early Peavey USA Special to compare it to, and my neck from Scott is not 100% the same in one aspect.... the rear profile carve is a little bit different, but then again, not every 'genuine' Wolfgang neck is the same either -- I've noticed that there is some variation throughout the production line from guitar to guitar. The difference I'm talking about is about that same small amount of difference.

I actually greatly prefer the neck from Scott over the stock neck on my Wolfgang. The profile, although extremely close, is just 'more comfortable' feeling than my Wolfgang, and 'faster'. Hard to explain in words, I know. Also, the level of overall craftsmanship and attention to detail is superior on Scott's necks (I have 2 now, and will be getting a 3rd soon enough). And you all know how great the original Peavey's were that I'm comparing it to....

My body is a Scott Fletcher. Musikraft will do a lefty for a $30 upcharge. My neck from scott was one of his first lefty's and I think it was a little off on the headstock. The high E just barly hit string bar it kicked out so far. I know Peavey's didn't have exactly straight string pull like the Fender Wolf's do, but mine was off on the GBE side. So me being me, I tried to "fix" it and ruined it. I was excited to see the Musikraft site because they have so many options. I have small hands, and was thinking of getting something with a thin contour.

I was made aware of this topic by another member here and I thought I would elaborate on the speculation.

The headstock on the evh was slightly altered for the purpose of the fit for the tuner casings on the back of the headstock. The original narrow head works fine if you are using the original schallers from that year.

The headstock is as most people are aware very small and narrow to accomodate straight string pull, but that does limit the tuner options.

But for those of those who don't know there are MANY tuners on the market. in order to build after market necks you try to find ways to accomadate broader uses for what people might do.

Some tuners have bigger casings and mounting brackets that are totally different.
So I made it a little wider. Having strings break at a slight angle is irrelevant on a neck with a locking floyd nut .

And there are a ton of guitars including gibsons that have a massive angle to the tuners. People have goten along with them for decades.

It had nothing to do with the fact that that was the first lefty.

    It was a technical decision.

So now, after hearing this, I have made the decision to go back and make only 1 version. The original version with straight string pull and that is it. So if somebody runs inot a tuner issue, that is going to be the breaks of buying a signature spec neck.

    Some other details

We offer lefty necks at NO upcharge

My necks have graphite like the original

I offer the wolfgang necks in 3 headstock options

    1- flat straight headstock
    2- flat headstock with scoop
3- flat headstock with the new " cut out scoop" like the fender

...oh and also a reverse headstock !

And all of those are offered in a tiltback version.

I read on the musikraft site that theirs are 4.5 degrees. That is not the original angle.

I did not see anywhere in there options for graphite.

The wolfgang necks we make have every option you can think of.

    Every radius
    Every contour

    Stainless steel etc.........

And from what I can see at their site , my prices are less. in some cases considerably less.

Maybe it is time to raise them.

Only advantage with MK is they're faster than Scott.
