Default why no interviews with the band?

I used to enjoy listening to interviews with Roth, Eddie, etc.... It seems like there is none of that these days. I can understand MTV is younger crowd now. But you'd think you'd see Roth on Larry King at least. Does that show even exist anymore? I was just searching youtube for recent interviews and there is nothing is why I ask.

    I'd imagine it's because it's a no-win, currently.

There are a lot of explosive questions that could be asked to each band member about current and former band members, (regarding inter-personal relationships, personal problems, and even about the music created under the names "Van Halen" and "David Lee Roth" post-'84, pre-'06,) which could fracture a fragile situation.

Currently, the members of Van Halen have a great thing going on - in almost every way - and it will likely continue "UNLESS" (I just saw "The Lorax,") the past gets in the way.

As of late it could be because Eddie just had surgery. I'd imagine that they've given enough interviews for a lifetime and they keep getting asked the same questions and are kinda tired of them. I know I would.

Larry King doesn't have a show anymore because he retired.

There's really nothing for them to gain from it at this point. Their fan base is still significant and intact-they ain't winning any new fans by being media darlings. Roth is still a great interview but he seems to have changed quite a bit (ie. matured) and I'll bet his priorities in life now don't involve being in the spotlight constantly...and there are all sorts of issues from the past that are probably better off left there, and you jut know the media is going to hound these guys about: cancer and Eddie's health issues, the split with Dave, the split with Sam, the split with Mike and on and on and on. These guys seem to have worked out whatever was between them, good for them, it's really none of our business and I'm not looking for any explanations really, I'm just happy they are still alive and making great music. Maybe one day a proper documentary will be done on VH, a good one that covers all the issues fairly and honestly, with the band being involved and co-operating...I'd be interested in something like that. If not, it's all good.

I've got a good sense of humour and understand people want to have fun sometimes, and don't take everything seriously, but that video is disgraceful, not funny at all. I can only imagine the type of goof that would waste their time making that. I thought it was going to be a real one, and felt stupid to watch it. Shame on the fools. Damn fools.

No interviews because they don't give a fuck and they dont need to play the typical music bus. game and whore themselves, they know they made a amazing record and decided to let the music do the talking.Btw ED and AL never liked doing them in the first place when they were forced to why then would they do them now when they are in control and are ledgends.

How is it so great if it's so fragile? Or maybe that's why you say "almost" every way.

There are too many questions to be asked that they don't want to answer, or that they don't even have answers for.

To make this work they all had to obtain selective amnesia.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!
