I met Adam Sandler before his '92 Kent State show. He's really funny in person. He had everyone cracking up. Someone asked him if had any plans to act in movies and he said he had a part in a movie with Bobcat Goldthwaite playing clowns. To this day I don't know if he was pulling everybody's leg. I don't remember any movie with him and Bobcat playing clowns. Anyways, he joked about becoming a "huge" star then made some joke about penis enlargement. He then said his "mission" in life was to come back and host Saturday Night Live but only if Van Halen was the musical guest with David Lee Roth. I remember some people laughing at the notion because at the time Van Halen was at their peak with Sammy. After seeing that picture of Eddie with Sandler, it reminded me of that evening with Sandler. Who knows, maybe he'll be the one to get them back together.

Sandler loves Dave era VH. He's mentioned it in skits, movies, and songs. The movie I think he may have been talking about was "Shakes The Clown", but I don't think Sandler ended up in it.

This is the quote from an earlier thread:

Adam Sandler: During an interview with MTV back in 1998, they asked Adam Sandler what he thought of the new Van Halen 3 album and he said "Wasn't 1984 the last album Van Halen ever made?" later he laughed and looked into the camera and said "David Lee Roth Rules!!!!!!!!!" In "Shakes the Clown" Adam Sandler played Dink the Clown.

Too bad he doesn't know comedy. No offense. Except for Opera Man, Cajun Man, and Stud Boy, what has he done? Carrot Top rules and kicks ass! Ha.
