Default Van Halen - We're With The Band (Atlanta 1991)

I miss this band. They really did love each other back then.

Sam's a lot of fun in this video. Bet if we saw a transcript he'd look like a real asshole

I agree, great period for Van Halen. Too bad all good things have their ends.

coolest guys on the planet at that time IMHO, from 86-91 they were just awesome. I love the look on Alex's face when Sammy is messing with him by calling him "the new drummer in the band, his name is alex I think and he's doing a good job so far". "can you feel the static"....name that song..lol.

I love that show and I have a bootleg of that concert BTW, it's great.

Even though I was 6 -- and presumably, you were in the womb -- I get what you mean.

Hell, it meant a lot to me just to see the recent Japanese special, with the Van Halens/DLR seemingly enjoying themselves to some degree.

Whenever I see/hear old ('78-'83) and slightly less old ('86-'91) interviews, I miss how much this group used to get along.

I really wish they'd make peace... With everyone... It's not impossible -- just a bunch of people need to put aside their egos.

P.S. I have the boot for this show... GREAT show!!!

I was just getting out of high school, but hadn't yet seen them live. Pretty sure I wore out my VHS copy of it. My only wish was that they would have shown more of soundcheck.

I'm not sure if it's on that clip or another one altogether (it might have been from MTV's Cabo Wabo grand opening special) but the band does an acoustic kind of on the spot version of Cabo Wabo and it's great, they're just fucking around having fun and it's one of my all time favorite vh moments. Just 4 guys sitting around having fun....kind of like unleashed was when they interviewed the whole band together. Man, I miss these guys.
