    Roth & Huey Lewis

Good day all. I was out for a jog yesterday and decided H Lewis G Hits was the way to go on my iPod. The more I listened , the more I realized how much Dave & Huey sound alot alike. I could see Roth singing almost all H Lewis' tunes. Very similar voice in my humble opinion. There are 3 songs at the end of the the G Hits & this one :jumps "( no pun intended ) out @ me

That's DLR all the way. Roth has many textures & tastes musically beyond Hard Rock
which I have ALWAYS liked about him ala Coconut Grove etc
BTW, this is a meaningless thread : )

Listen to the tune and form your own opinions

I always thought so too. The music is a lot different, but their singing styles (with the exception of Dave's screams), are really similar.
    Right here I say....

Eddie Money would be a better discussion, IMO. Less jazz hands...but the voice and a few actions are similar. hehe

There is a slight rhythmic similarity in how they sing... plus how they both sound like they smoke a pack of ciggies before the session. (̃͡ x ̃͡)y-~~

Went to see Huey back in the day and I thought it was going to be a pop band boring night. Boy was I wrong! Those boys could bring it.
