Default SAMMY HAGAR 'INTHESTUDIO' TO CELEBRATE TWO SOLO ALBUM ANNIVERSARIES:

30th Anniversary Of Three Lock Box, 25th Anniversary Of I Never Said Goodbye
North American syndicated Rock radio show InTheStudio: The Stories Behind History's Greatest Rock Bands salutes Sammy Hagar on the 30th anniversary of Three Lock Box and the 25th anniversary of his knockout solo album I Never Said Goodbye. After years of struggle as the downcard rock palooka who could take a punch and never go down, Sammy Hagar answered the bell in the Eighties and came out swinging. In 1982 Hagar scored a technical knockout with his first mainstream hit “Your Love Is Driving Me Crazy” from his seventh solo album Three Lock Box.
By 1987, coming off the hugely successful VOA album with the highway anthem “I Can't Drive 55”, the newly installed Van Halen lead singer would score his highest charting solo album ever I Never Said Goodbye with the powerful # 1 rock ballad “Give to Live”. Hagar tells host Redbeard how touched he is that the song's message has spoken to so many of his fans.

“I've gotten thousands of letters of people that their mother, father, brother, sister or best friend or the person themselves have written to me,(saying), 'you saved my life' or 'you saved my friend's life' or ' it saved my daughter's life' or 'it saved my son's life'. That song, I can't tell you (how) that means more to me than any song I've written.”

The Sammy Hagar/ InTheStudio program will air on radio this weekend on over 50 radio stations across North America.

And on top of reading this I see that Kevin Bacon is 54 today.

The Three Lock Box tour, with Night Ranger opening, is still one of the best concerts I have been to. Night Ranger killed, then Sammy and the boys came out and, well... catwalk, Trans Am, wireless headset and telling Gary to "take yo best shot" made for an unforgettable show. Sam called back to my little po-dunk hometown (local radio station) to thank us for tearing the roof off that venue the night before.

    What!!! WHY???

    No, no, no, no, NO!!!

For a start, why on Earth would you want the surname "Bacon"? That automatically eliminates the possibility of getting together with any vegetarian females...Tssk!

Easy, instead of giving them the sausage, you give'em the cucumber.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

I don't know if I could "get together" with a vegetarian female. If so, she would have to be open to having "meat" every now and then.

Ok, I am going to say it, I love Never Said Goodbye and don't really like Three Lock Box.

I actually think Three Lock Box is a pretty crappy album.

I know it is back asswards, I've met many Hagar fans that don't like Never Said Goodbye, but I love it.

Well if it makes you feel better, I don’t own either album so I can’t tell you which is better. I think I do like the songs I know from Three Lock Box better than Never Said – Three Lock Box, Your Love…, I Don’t Need Love vs. Give To Live, Eagles Fly, Hammer Falls, Boys Night Out.
