Default Best "NEW" bands since 2002

So I was thiking the other day, it's the 10 year anniversary of the Sam and Dave tour (not that that has anything to do with the thread it was how I started thinking of this). Now we've had a new VH disk and CF has emerged and is a damn good band but for this thread I don't really want to mention the Foot. The simple question is who are the best new rock bands since 2002?

I do think Slash's last album was exceptional so I'd say he might make the list.

Shinedown is a damn good band, hell the song Hero's is one of the best I've heard and Sound of Madness is a great disk considering it came out as a rock album in this day and age, it's damn good.

maybe Black Stone Cherry? I liked them when I saw them open for the foot and got a couple of thier cd's but aside from that I'm drawing a blank.

Black Stone Cherry are definitely a great band.

Sleigh Bells are pretty good too, if you're into that kind of thing. Just a singer and a guitarist, he's a hard working guy too.

TV On The Radio - they formed in '01 but first EP was out in '03.

    Warpaint (all girl alt-rock band)

Rolo Tomassi - if you love your mathcore, they're the best new mathcore band around. I saw them open for Biffy Clyro and thought they were really good.

I think Them Crooked Vultures deserves a mention too.

Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin (yes, that is their name) - American Indie Pop before everyone else started doing it. Proto-hipsters, you might say.

Bloc Party - essentially pioneers in how to do new-age British indie-rock. I think they've reformed too!

I struggle to find heavier bands (or anything in the hard-rock vein really) that doesn't either suck or rest on tired tropes that loads of 80s bands already tried out.

Speaking of the new Slash album - Alter Bridge are worth a mention (they are so much better than Creed it makes me wonder why those three ever go back to that band...)
If I told the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth about what I've gone through over the last 20 odd years, what it took to finally get where I am, people just wouldn't fucking believe it. So it's pointless. I now realize that I can't change people's minds, and I really don't want to or need to try. I'm at peace with it, and that's all that matters. - Edward Van Halen

Halestorm (they've been around for awhile but first major label album came out in 2009 I think), Airbourne, Muse, Shinedown. I'd say Avenged Sevenfold too but I think they started before 2002.

I quite like Rival Sons. I've only recently discovered them, not sure when they started. Pretty cool classic rock band, they sound a bit too much like Zep at times but good songs, especially something like Face of Light, good stuff.

    zappa plays zappa

I really enjoyed what DWEEZIL ZAPPA did with his dads legacy.I acknowledge it may not fall into the categorey of a new band, but is a new band that didn't excist before 2002, and IMO the musicianship and presentation was nothing short of being absolutly phenomenal.

The black keys are pretty good too.

    Just kidding.

I honestly thing that Rock music became the most boring in the 00's. Sure you have loads of Indie Bands and Heavy/Emo/Screamo Bands but that is absolutely nothing I could like. Speaking of them, Bullet For My Valentine are usually a good band :P

Slim pickins for this time period for me but here's few of mine, in no particular order:
