I think he did a good job picking this last decade. I know most people probably don't like Anger Management, but I thought he made it entertaining. The Bucket List was good also. People seemed to be divided on that one. I think it's the type of thing you can appreciate more as you get older. The Departed is really good of course, and About Schmidt is good... Something's Gotta Give was a decent film for what it is. The Pledge is one I thought was a bit boring, but I think I might like it better on repeated viewings.

    Just my opinion.

That said, I have to go with the 70's. If you could move Easy Rider over 1 more year that would really seal it.

70s by a landslide. If he would have died on January 1st 1980, his legacy would still be phenomenal. Can't say the same for any other decade, I think.

Everything was better in the 70s.

Four words: A Few Good Men.

That role alone puts the 90's at the top for me.

70's without a doubt. If anyone says 2000's they should be banned!

This isn't even a discussion as much as a test to see which decade you will answer.

It's the 70s, hands down. No contest.

    I agree with Sassy.

"The Postman Always Rings Twice" is missing from that list. (1981, w/ Jessica Lang)

74-81 were his best years, imo.

I think I missed that one. Honestly, I don't even recall hearing of it before.
