Default Gallup and Rasmussen: Barack Obama's Job Approval Rating Is Falling To Drastic Lows

Barack Obama's Job Approval Rating Is Falling To Drastic Lows

    Gallup:

    Romney 47%
    Obama 45%

    Rasmussen:

    Romney 47%
    Obama 43%

Obama's approval rating is down to 43 percent in Gallup's rolling three-day average, down from about 45 percent earlier this month. It's the first time his approval rating has been this low since the end of March. The percentage of people who disapprove of his job performance now stands at 49 percent.

Yeah, but that is popular vote.

Obama has the electoral college advantage, if he takes either Florida or Ohio, it's game over.

I can see another scenario in which a person is elected losing the popular vote.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Long way to go before November. Things are trending down for BO but he's rather teflon and the stupid party (R) will always ride again! Good drama better than PawnStars.

"Drastic lows" is a bit dramatic. When you see approval ratings in the low 30's, that's "drastic."

For right now both candidates are within the margin of error (even if they are tilting Romney at this point). Unless something catastrophic happens between now and November, this race is going to be a dead heat all the way down to the wire.

As Dave's Dreidel pointed out, Romney has a larger hill to climb electorally if he wants to win.

Romney is slightly ahead in Ohio, Florida, Wisconsin and Iowa but is still within the margin of error. Romney leads in NC and Missouri. NH is the ONLY swing state where Obama is ahead. Obama and Romney are statistically tied in Michigan, a state Obama won by 16% in 08.

Wouldnt it be interesting if Romney won the popular vote?

Btw Gore won the popular vote in 2000 but lost the electoral college vote to dubya.

Well I know the media and around 40% of the country believe that Obama is a shoe in because he is Obama and an incumbent. However he really is at a disadvantage because forecasters of the global economy really don't see anything picking up for the next year. Our economy probably won't improve much and if anything most likely will slide back to a mini-recession or worse if Europe bottoms out.

Romney is fundraising more money as well. Obama really is at the mercy of the world. He can only control so much. Romney only has to control what he or other GOP power brokers say.

Of course there can be bomb shells by Romney at a debate, speech or something from his past. I just see it very hard for Obama just to assume he can win all these states. Ohio is very much at play for Romney because I know a lot of Obama supporters in 2008 who are not voting for him or are just going to stay home.

    It's Obama's election to lose.

Depending on what projection you look at, as of today he wins the electoral college vote by a decent enough margin.

288-250 is the most common I have seen. Interesting stuff to read for sure.

Either way you waste your vote and end up with evil. I'm looking at Gary Johnson.
