Just got home from the show. Met up with Mikey Metalhead and Wickett among others. Typing slow to be precise. Here's my thoughts:
    1. Looked at Wolfie during the first two songs and tuned him out. Didn't care about the drama, was too far back. Good to see you, didn't add or detract.
    2. Dave - thanks for the dog patter. Needed to pee and get a beer or two.
    3. Al - Dammit, why don't they have a camera on you? There was a montage but wasn't live until the very end when we saw you whaling away. We missed 26% of the show.
    4. When they did feature Al, mix was muddy and overshadowed everything else. China Town and HTF stand out as songs that drowned everything out.
    5. The crowd was excited but seemed to be for the popular songs. Good for you, but dammit - Jump shouldn't be the biggest or best song out there, just sayin'. They seemed to stand up the most for cover tunes that Ed hated on Diver Down.
    6. I was the sexiest guy there. Take it or leave it. I had the privilege of being there with two first timers and they were young and fun, but dammit, ladies, that Fair Warning shirt doesn't fit you anymore.
    7. See my post earlier about the "train" guy. Don't flaunt your ignorance.
    8. TLW will be just like the first two songs from the show, but longer. Classic, dangerous, and totally what you have been looking for since 1978.
    9. Ed grinned. All the time. 'nuff said.
    10. Kool & The Gang will still pull fine tail. Worth seeing and better than Shinedown and Marley.
    Nothing to see here.

Just got home from the show, 12 row Eddies side this time, AMAZING! Dave sounded great, Eddie is king, Alex is a rock, Wolfie was good but didnt seem as into it as he was In Tulsa, then again i wasnt sitting on his side tonight so i really wasnt paying attention to him alot, Romeo Delight instead of Full Bug, i wanted to hear that this time but oh well, I think Dave talked more tonight than in Tulsa, the show was over 2 hours I think, the sound was good, Highlights for me were Hear about it Later, Women In Love, Everybody Wants Some, it was all great though! Was sad when it was over, i guess i had to go home sometime, Like the Tulsa show, Dave said this was one of the best shows of the tour, and i believe that!!

Default The Mighty Van Halen in Big D

Got in a little while ago. Before some of the "experts" come on and whine about Dave's voice and go all fucking clown shoes, I'd like to just say we had a blast. It was a killer show and the band was totally awesome.
Diamond Dave is one bad Motherfucker!

Having followed every show's reviews, I have no understanding of the people that have the inclination to critique and complain about the dudes voice cracking a little or him not singing every word just like the album. Who cares? We were too busy dancing and singing to worry about such pointless things. He ruled the roost. We got multiple spin kicks, splits and jokes gallore.

Plus, Eddie and Dave were all smiles and hugs, which alone is worth the price of admission. Ed's solo was pretty much as close to the clouds as you can come without a boarding pass. The band simply kicks ass.

The Dallas crowd was a little disappointing, but being familiar with the "beautiful people" of Dallas who attend Mavs games, it's no surprise that some couldn't be troubled to stand and sing.

All in all, It was a helluva great evening!
If anyone can hook me up later with a DVD of the show that'd be awesome.

The show was great! Just waking up, my ear are still ringing. We got sound check but no backstage tour. I was 5 rows from the stage. Had the VIP experience, f'n great! Dave sounded fantastic, Eddie was on fire! Al wa Al, always impressive, Wolfie was great too. Wow! I'll post some pics later.

Whoever keeps slamming Dave is so far off base it's almost comical. We were at the show last night. Best I've EVER seen this band and Dave. One phrase can describe it.. POSITIVE ENERGY! Music was tight and Dave sounded great the WHOLE show. I was expecting a few road bumps for him given the reviews of past shows but, as Dave said last night, this was probably the best show of the tour. My wife who hasn't been the biggest Dave fan said after the show last night "I found a new appreciation for Dave - he was spectacular" due to his performance. What made last night's show was the ENERGY - and lots of it. It was as if Dave was out to prove all of the idiots wrong who criticized him on this tour. He kept things in his vocal range for the most part, but when he went to the upper range he nailed it. If last night's show is any indicator, I am convinced this band can continue long into the future. It truly was an amazing show in Big D with lots of fantastic chemistry between Dave and Eddie on-stage. A BIG dose of POSITIVE ENERGY in the breakfast blender!!!
