    Default Captain America 2

The Russo Brothers to Direct Captain America Sequel
    Source: Variety June 6, 2012

Anthony and Joe Russo are set to direct the sequel to last year's Captain America: The First Avenger, Variety reports.

The sibling pair are known for feature films like Welcome to Collinwood and You, Me and Dupree as well as television series like "Arrested Development," "Community" and "Happy Endings" (the latter two of which they also executive produce). They're also attached to Ciudad, based on their own graphic novel and set to star Dwayne Johnson.

The second installment will pick-up where Marvel's The Avengers leaves off, as Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) continues his affiliation with Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D and struggles to embrace his role in the modern world.

Still untitled, the Captain America sequel is set to hit theaters on April 4, 2014.

Wouldn't mind having Hugo Weaving back as the Red Skull. Made a great villain.

I'm guessing Baron Zemo is going to be the next Cap 2 villain. SHIELD is going to be fighting Hydra. I'm guessing Black Panther will make a cameo.

Will Marvel give the Black Panther a movie next?

Familiar Marvel Faces Headed to Captain America: The Winter Soldier
    Source: Variety October 30, 2012

On the heels of word earlier today that Frank Grillo has joined the cast of Captain America: The Winter Soldier comes confirmation, via Variety, that a few familiar S.H.I.E.L.D. agents will be appearing as well. Reprising their roles from Marvel's The Avengers are Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill. Also confirmed to be returning, as was long rumored, is Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes.

The film is slated to star Chris Evans, reprising his role as Steve Rogers/Captain America, and franchise newcomer Anthony Mackie in the role of the Falcon.

Set to be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Captain America: The Winter Soldier is planned to hit theaters on April 4, 2014.

I've never actually wastched all of CA I BUT I am a gigantic comic book nerd.

The Winter Soldier is actually Bucky Barnes in the comic books, see Bucky died in WW2 and actually stayed dead for about 50 years (an anomoly in comic books), he was brought back a few years ago as the Winter Soldier. I don't really read marvel comics so that's all I can add to this one....

Stupid question here about the first flick, Captain America. Steve Rogers, pre-operation/experiment was a small, skinny dude. Was that computer (de)generated in the film or did Evans simply bulk down then bulk up for the CA portion?

CGI'd his head on a skinny body. Now, in the Avengers, Ruffalo did have to bulk up to play the Hulk.

Love the fact that the Falcon will be in this next one!

Actually, it was a combination of the two. Some shots it is Chris Evans "shrunk" digitally, and in others, it is a body double:
