I just left the MGM, here's my observations:
    - Full Bug and Hear About It Later sounded great (1st time hearing them live)
    - With more experience, Wolf's showing more stage presence. His vox on Women in Love are fantastic
    - DLR is definitely fun to watch. He has a lot of charisma and enthusiasm.
    - DLR interacted with the crowd a lot, more than previous times I've seen him perform
    - Al is the best drummer I've seen live. As other fans have reported, the man doesn't miss a beat
    - Ed's solo is worth the price of admission itself. It's awesome to see a whole arena light up with cell phones to record his performance
-Adding And the Cradle Will Rock to the setlist was a good move: one of the best live songs sound wise IMO
    - The band has developed more chemistry on stage since I saw them during the tour opener in Louisville back in February

Amazing show... I recommend you buy good ear plugs like Heros... Saves your ears and show actually sounds better. Roth totally killed tonight - he had more one liners in this show than I've ever seen before. Best show of the tour.

    Simply Amazing!

The chemestry of the band is great, the setlist kicks ass, the show was sold out 13,000 people!

I saw Pearl (Meat Loaf's daughter Scott Ian's Wife there) she was having a blast.

Wolf and Dave interacted alot which was great to see.

    Eddie is playing his best.

Really had a great time, the crowd was standing and rocking the whole 2 hour show!

Can't wait for the LA show!

If you can see them, don't hesitate, it's simply one of the best Rock Concerts on the Planet.

I feel greatful I had the chance to see them live once again. This is what enjoying life is about.

God bless the Mighty Van Halen
"I could call it anything, but the only word I can think of is Brown. It's just a warm sound. Warm, big, majestic" - Eddie Van Halen on his Tone

"Van Halen is definitely a ladies band, and I´ve got the Polaroids to prove it". - David Lee Roth

WOLFGANG did the IMPOSSIBLE, he brought back VAN HALEN, DEAL WITH IT.

    Scott Ian tweeted this:

“@Scott_Ian: To quote David Lee Roth, "Ladies & Gentlemen, on the guitar, Shreddy Krueger!" @vanhalen ruled in Vegas tonight. http://t.co/FlGV8jZN”

“@Scott_Ian: @eddievanhalen The Godzilla of guitar tones. Fucking flawless. 15,000 people on their feet for the guitar solo. #bestever”

So much fun. Great show all around. Dave's officially a Goofball and that's a good thing.
What once upon a time made Van Halen unique in the progression of metal and hard rock (besides Eddie’s prowess as a guitarist) was its sense of fun, its willingness to be not just over the top, but weird.

Had a BLAST! Dave sounded great and didn't "forget" any lyrics. Wolfgang was tearing it up and even jumping around some over there. Alex is a machine. Eddie - BOOM! What else can I say?

The crowd was really into it. The people around me in Section 1 were singing along even to the new tunes.

I loved the interaction between Dave and all three Van Halens. He made reference to being inspired by the previous nights UFC event, and in the next song wrapped his arm around Ed's neck like a chokehold. Ed never missed a beat and laughed along with it. Dave really did seem in a silly mood tonight. In a fun way, not in an overbearing way.

One thing that wasn't great, it seemed really loud to me. Music sounded good that loud, but when it gets so loud, I have a hard time understanding what Dave is saying when he's talking. I'm probably just getting old.

I think the only problem Van Halen are going to see is there are fans out there, like me, that still want to see them do songs from 5150 up to Balance.

I remember reading something a long time ago where EVH said he still wanted to play the earlier songs, that is going to happen again at some stage if they go on for any long period of time.
Still I would love to see them if they ever did actually come to Australia

Although I'm not a fan of some of the Van Hagar era, especially Balance, they could do Why Can't This Be Love as a test. Lower it a whole step, which Eddie used to do anyway and give it a shot.It can work, but remember it won't sound like Sammy singing it .But it can work though Dave style.

The only reason Sammy era VH exists is because of Dave. For Dave to do Sammy era stuff would be a joke. HE and the band don't need it. They are NOT that band....they are now the band that they were in the 70's and early 80's.

This Roth era music can hold it's own with no help from anything or anyone else. I don't get why people insist on hearing Dave sing "Why Can't This Be Love..."

If he did- I would walk out and I am one of the biggest Roth fans out there.

I cringed every time Sammy sang Panama, Jump, etc. Why didn't Sammy do "And The Cradle Will Rock..." ? Cause it would be wrong. Flat out wrong.

Get over it that you are not going to hear Dave sing Dreams.

    Thank god he's not either.
Imagine a world without Eddie Van Halen.

"From the moment David Lee Roth appeared at the top of a giant runway that snaked through the Oklahoma City Ford Center audience Tuesday night, he wore the one thing that told every Van Halen fan that everything was right with the world. It was a maniacal Cheshire cat smile announcing happiness and enthusiasm that cannot be faked. Not only was the old band back together, it was thriving."
