They played it as a mash-up. Jumpanama.
What once upon a time made Van Halen unique in the progression of metal and hard rock (besides Eddie’s prowess as a guitarist) was its sense of fun, its willingness to be not just over the top, but weird.

So the previous setlist may have been a LITTLE off!! Just got home.....they played the standard setlist for the tour, Full Bug was in the 4 spot and they played Outta Love Again after Women in Love. Great show, as usual for this tour. DLR sounded much better than I would have thought, even when he sang DTNA in the higher register, it seemed to work. He did complain about the blowers briefly during Beautiful Girls, but otherwise was flawless....Ed is ON.....best I've ever seen him....Saddledome was pretty packed, some empty seats high in the 2nd Level, but otherwise full....anyways, off to bed....maybe they'll play Fire In The Hole next time!!!!!!

No, they really did. In fact, and I don't know why vanCherone didn't include it, but there was a 3rd encore with a performance of How Many Say I with Wolf on piano and Ed on tuba. Youtube videos won't do it justice though, you had to be there.

Yes... it was an awesome show from 2nd row, last seat on the aisle on Ed's side!! Set list (Fontcow's, not the 1998) matches what I had. Hear About It Later was an awesome song live. I thought the crowd kind of zoned out during the Women In Love/Outta Love/Beautiful Girls combination. Great deep cuts for us fans, but not enough recall for a lot of radio fans.

I've got a couple good pics with my real camera...great to hear the band was letting that happen, and security were NOT dicks in Calgary (although I still stuffed it in my gaunch to get in!) I was suprised to see some reflectors on the back on the B+W Charvel guitar...cool tribute to the past! No suprises otherwise. I'll get a couples pics up tonight.

To cross into another post here... Ed only threw out one pick all night, and that was right inot the sound board off his side of stage....never even tried to get it to the audience. His tech threw one out durign loadout but it hit the floor and we're trying to dig throught the confetti. No Luck! Saw Wolf throw one, but given I wasn't watching his side of the stage much. NO Flying Eddies at all! Hope everything with Ed is Ok, and we can get another tour in a couple years.

Met a couple dudes from the radio in Red Deer who had a blast! Met cool superfan Rob(?) from Calgary, and he's got Row 1 for Edmonton show on Friday. I'm back in the nosebleeds for Edmonton show too, so it will be a different experience.

    Cya,
    Kev

THE NEW SONGS No complaint here, actually. Thankfully they only played
four -- an acceptable tithe paid by those there to hear the classics. In
fact, the inclusion of "Stay Frosty" provided the perfect opportunity for
many stressed-out, middle-aged bladders -- mine included -- to get some
relief. And as much as I'd like to mock the lame new single, "Tattoo," I
inexplicably woke up humming it this morn.

    "Stay Frosty" --- ??????
