Yeah, I've known Tom Colletti (the owner of the Music Zoo) since 1998.

He's a really cool guy and, by the way, an absolutely amazing guitar player in his own right...

I did have an opportunity to play that guitar back in 2005...

It sounds and plays great but, there is a problem with the Floyd post by the high "E" string. Whenever you depress the bar, there's an audible "click". Like many of those employee built Kramers, the bridge pick-up cavity routing came too close to the bridge posts resulting in a crack in the wood.

Was this specific guitar built by a Kramer employee?

Here's a close-up of the bridge area where you can clearly see the crack...

Yes. The Vitas Franky was employee-built...

...as were the the majority of the red, black and white Kramers. The only ones we know that Edpainted himself are the 5150, the 1984 and the Neptune Factory Franky. Paul Unkert assembled and painted about 13 and Steve Z also put some together.

Here's a good EVH/Kramer thread to have a look at:

Ok. Just asking cause the certificate with the guitar said "Edward played the guitar on tour and to the best of my knowledge was built and assembled by Edward himself".

BTW.. Great thread on the Lost Kramers.

thanks Jimi... Now I remember you did post this before during the Lost Kramers thread about a year ago. Neat guitar too. That is cool you got to play it. Did you get any video when you played it? Not necessarily for us but for yourself?

Doesn't that one pic in the case show Rudy on the left side with Ed and then Vitas on the right hand side?
