Default Side seats at VH 2012 tour? will the stage view be obstucted?

So I am looking to get seats for the HP Pavillion in San Jose but can only find seats for 117 in the lower tier.
will the view be obstructed at that angle?

anyone know if we will be looking behind a wall of speakers or equipment or something?

    Thanks!

It's wide open. I googled it and got sent back here to a post by Legends Of Roth. It's post number 9. That's pretty close to where those seats would be. I would have traded my up high ones in a heartbeat. I tried.

You definitely will not be behind equipment. I had very similar seats at MSG (on the other side.) The cons are that you won't see the screen or the front of the whole band at once. They move around on stage and all, but it was a little weird for me. There's also no one next to you, so there's a counter-vibe of emptiness, if that makes sense.

The pros are that you are close and, at MSG, it sounded really good on the side of the stage. Also, it looks like you'll be on Wolfie's side, which is good because Eddie is always looking that way. Our seats were on Eddie's side and we saw a lot of his side and back.

They're not perfect, but I would get the tickets!

You can see where all the equipment is, I don't see anything there blocking the view. You will be getting a whole lot of Wolf though.

You won't need them, it's pretty close. Pictures can't really show it.

I'd watch those Platinum seats at Ticketmaster. There are 30 pairs available now and they will drop in price as the show nears. Most of the time you can wait until they're almost nearly what regular tickets cost. Heck, you can get Sec 128 on Ed's side right now or 14th row center for $195 which isn't that much more than the regular $165 price.

At the Mohegan Sun show we had almost the very same seats, and you are pretty damn close to sitting on the stage (we were in row P). From those seats you could see the screen pretty well, it's huge, but the arena is much smaller than the Garden.

When DLR comes over to that side, he is almost in your lap.
