    Default Anyone notice this?

Now, this is on the assumption that for 1984 they released videos for Jump (band on a stage playing tune), Panama (footage taken from the tour), then Hot For Teacher (full production video) in that order. Is that true?

If it is, notice how they have released two videos so far (of three?) in the same vein. Tattoo was the band on a stage playing the tune. She's The Woman was footage taken from rehearsal and the tour). Will the next video be a bigger production like Hot For Teacher? HMMMMMMM

Interesting observation, but I wouldn't read into it too much.

Although I'd love to see a big video for China Town or As Is.

Same. Either one of those would make for a great production video.

That is an interesting observation. Not sure how intentional it was by the band.
Let's hope another video will be on it's way soon!

A big production video? Maybe, but you'll never see Ed or Al 'performing' as they once did in those videos. I think it would drive Ed back to drug abuse.

    Default BIG PRODUCTION?

I don't think it's necessary. Nobody would play it anyway so why spend big bucks on a video? A simple video would be enough.

I hope they just stick to stage/concert videos but wouldn't mind a Waldo cameo in something.

Why make a music video these days anyways?

It's not as if ticket sales are slow, and music videos are the new thing...

To them it's a waste of money with no return on their investment...

Back in the heyday of MTV a big production video would make sense, but now not so much. Vids just go on YouTube these days and it makes an impact beyond the fanbase only if it goes viral.

So while I'd love to see a full proper high production video for another song off ADKOT I am not expecting it to happen. But you never know.

It'd go viral, I bet, if VH released a Picasso Bros-style video in 2012... It'd bring the album back into the upper reaches of the charts too, I bet.

I agree -- GREAT opportunity for Dave and co. to make something hilarious, awesome, cool, innovative, story-like concept video.

My vote is on "Stay Frosty" -- voted the #1 song on ADKOT by VHND readers and it's not getting any love live. Lots of verbal imagery -- could be GREAT.

Videos are so not expensive to make anymore. In fact, you'd have legions of After Effects PROFESSIONALS and other L.A. folks with badass cameras that would be more than willing to just be involved -- they could do it for practically no money.

    I'm all for it.

I would definitely though like to see a video that I could NOT make myself at home on Windows MovieMaker -- not that I don't like the two videos, but there's really nothing to them. Just a bunch synced cuts. Not exactly the bleeding edge of video technology.

Heck...make a video without the band in it at all (or just some very "effected" live footage). Real arty type video that could get attention. This video was almost solely responsible for this song becoming a massive hit:
