    Default ADKOT Outtakes/songs recorded.

    Hi fellow VH folk!
Does anyone know if VH did additional tracks to the ones that were recorded for ADKOT?I heard somewhere that the heaviest material was left off the album.Perhaps they could have made EP"s out of the singles and included some outtakes plus live stuff like Outta Love Again etc.

    Interesting concept.

I would like to see that but I highly doubt it'd ever happen. One thing for certain - whoever knows about these outtakes arn't posting here.

The trend these days is for an artist/band to follow an album release swiftly. Generally by 18 months. The Ollie is the original album plus extras i.e bonus tracks, concert footage etc etc.

    Gaga did it with Fame
Katy Perry has just done it

Think Metallica have done with D Magnetic as well

Could be that VH re-release ADKOT bonus album

I like how artists have been doing this. If VH did it would be really cool.

In the Esquire article, Eddie indicated that they had almost enough songs to release a double album. So I am hopeful that another album, or an ep, will follow sometime in the not too distant future.

Eddie mentioned in his album that there was a lot of material for a double-album. Don't know how completed some of those songs were though.

Would be cool to get a new album next year!

I think maybe the engineer for ADKOT might know about these songs.

I liked Load and RE-load; Metallica did the same thing we're talking about here - however Lars would deny it....

Just curious if the 3 songs recorded in 2000 are in fact on ADKOT or still unreleased.
Has that information come out? (Apologies if this is old news.)

(If these songs are on ADKOT, I'm sure WVH replaced MA's bass tracks.)

EVH: Yeah, it does hold up, but that was kind of purposefully done. Before we decided to actually make a full record, we said, “Hey, let’s do some old demos.” And we actually recorded three of them already. And I engineered “She’s the Woman,” “Out of Space,” and “Bullethead,” and it ended up turning into a whole record. But we figured: Why not give fans the era that they liked, you know? But not the whole album is that. It’s just like a third old, a third middle, and a third new. There’s a lot more that was never recorded. There’s so many songs.

"A third middle"? I wonder if this is relevant. I'm honestly not sure.

He didn't say what songs they were specifically.

    Where were the songs named?
