Default VH in Puerto Rico- 2004

Doing my usual Youtube browsing for VH related stuff & I came across a very good quality video of VH in 2004 at the Jose Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in Puerto Rico. Granted the 04 tour was a trainwreck, this isn't half bad at all.

    That was actually great!
    Opening song?
When was it? Early in tour? I saw them opening night in Greensboro for that tour and they were great. Had the much bigger stage with Sammy climbing up high..
    Ed was halfway straight?

    Thank for sharing

Believe it or not, it was actually in September, more than halfway through the tour. Maybe Ed took a break for a night.

Great performance, saw them 4 times that tour, the LA shows where two of the best

Damn, that was actually really good! If Ed was healthy that tour, I'm sure it would have been like that nightly. And man...look at that crowd. Americans are a bunch of spoiled, burnt-out fatasses compared to that. I don't care if this is eight years ago. Our crowds haven't been that into a show since 1984. People were sitting all around me in Buffalo. Even Toronto had some sitters. The audience is getting older, but I don't even think the soul is there anymore for a lot of people. Wake up, audiences! Do you realize how lucky we are to still have a form of Van Halen coming to a town near you?!!!!! Show it a little bit!!!!

Wow, that was one of the better performances by Eddie on that tour.
No Samuri hair-do which usually meant trouble.

How the hell do you sit at a VAN HALEN CONCERT!??? It's VAN FUCKIN' HALEN! Arguably THE best hard rock band of all freakin' time!!! Even with this 3/4th version, it still kicks major fucking ass!
(Sorry for the explicit rant, but I've seen VH with Sammy 5 times, and NEVER sat down once they started. NEVER!)

As bad as a lot of fans thought the 2004 tour was there were some great shows. It was kind of hit or miss I saw them 4 times in 04 and 3 of them were great but 1 which happened to be the Tuscon show the last show of the tour was kind of a train wreck.
Janie Liszewski did the IMPOSSIBLE she helped Eddie Van Halen get better. Deal with it.

I have to agree. I saw them early at Hershey and Philly and they were phenomenal. Later in the tour I went to Atlantic City, it was like seeing a different band, you could tell they didn't even want to be around each other. Sammy and Mike were tip-toeing around Eddie and the music suffered.

I was at 4 shows in 2004 - Hershey, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Vegas (the Orleans show). Things were tight for the first three. It was evident that something was wrong in Vegas. Ed was hit or miss that tour. 40% batting average is a hall of fame baseball player, but not so much for a rocker.

I was at that show and I concur that Ed was not in a good state of mind from what I saw. Worst solo I ever saw from him.

That tour had one of the best set lists ever. Almost better than 2012's.

They mixed dave and sam eras pretty good.

Agreed, it was a good mix, I almost wished Mike would have taken the lead vox on all the CVH songs!

I saw 4 shows from that tour, the best being very late in the tour, I think September in Moline, IL they were amazing, I don't think Ed was too drunk, so he played very well.
