I'd be interested in hearing how many fans would be willing to attend a Van Halen fan convention. How many folks would be willing to travel out of town, etc. It would include a dealer's room with rock memorabilia, with an emphasis on Van Halen. The Atomic Punks playing live in the evening. Maybe even Mikey coming in for a signing. I'd shell out the clams. Anyone else?

Well the old Van Halen Mailing List used to have a fan convention every year. Have no idea whether that still is being held anymore.

I would definitely be interested in a fan convention. After seeing (on a news report) how good KISS conventions are with merchandise and collectibles, I think a VH one would do well. There are plenty of diehard fans to make it a success.

I'd do it, depending on location and schedule.

I'd go, as long as the VHML wasn't in charge of it.

I'd go but what would be the point... with Ed trademarking everything associated with the band you couldn't even get a Wolfgang Paper towel holder...

Yes, they used to do that every year, but this year they decided against it since nothing was going on with the band. They felt that since there wasn't anything coming from the band, why bother to "celebrate" the band at all? It figures, since I've been a VHML member since '96 and missed every single VHML Con due to my being stationed overseas. Don't know if it's ever gonna happen again, though.
