Default Where are the amp cables ?

Look at around :15 sec---at the back of Eddie's amps there are no cables running from the amps to the cabinets !
Am I seeing this right ?
    If so, Why ?

Usually he only runs 3 cabinets live, and they are most likely on the bottom out of view. His actual amps that power his sound are probably backstage in a set up to where his tech can access them if anything needs to be changed.

The stacks you see on stage are just props.
    Your favorite band sucks.

The amp wall is just for show! Almost every band does this!
Ed's gear is backstage and only 3 of all the showcase cabs are actually working (W/D/W - the ones with mics in front of one speaker).

Take a look at the backstage rig and backups!

They're not just props, they are advertisements for evhgear... Same thing with Satch, Bonnamassa, everyone for that matter... Not a bad thing, it's part of the game these days...

I was under the belief he was only running the bottom cabs-- always new the top cabs where props. Does anyone have pics of the back of the amps from the 07-08 tour? I am curious if it was the same on that tour !
His footswitching has changed and the addition of the extra set of cabs lead me to believe so----wow, been playing 30 years and never saw that coming.
I know everything runs back to an SDE-3000 but, I had no idea everything was a prop.
He has got to be using some of the bottom cabs !!!!

He is! That's why there are mics in front of them as of now (2012 tour) just like before (2007/8 tour)!

Gottacha --but I swear I hear all of his sound on stage in stereo---meaning stereo thru from the guitar thru the effects board to the amps.
How the hell is his sound so rich without running in stereo ?

Amp direct output to center cab (dry sound)

    +

Line out from amp to stereo effects (short and long delays), re-amped thru 2 HH V800 power amps to L and R cabs! Then all 3 cabs are mic-ed!

The L and R cabs actually run a mix of wet and dry, that's why he sounds dry and huge at the same time.

    An amazing rig btw...
