Default POST-SHOW DEPRESSION THREAD: VH has come & gone thru your area & now you're jonesing!

Just like in 2007-08, I had anticipated this VH tour since it was first announced. I thought about it almost daily -- how I was going to get my tickets, where I was going to sit, how I was going to get to the arena early, maybe have a few drinks, catch up with old friends, reminisce a little, laugh, maybe meet up with new friends, talk sports, discuss the band, then head in to the arena and rock out from the opening chords till the lights went back on. Even the ride home was fun, talking about what I just experienced.

Now it's over, and I miss it badly. Anyone else feel the same way? What are you going to miss?

I know exactley how you feel. After '95, I remember being in a funk after seeing them in Kansas City and on the road home shaking my head because it was over. (I wanted more, much more.)

I am fortunate to live an an area of the country where I can see multiple shows over the course of a tour. Still bummed at the end of it, but it makes it easier.

In the pre-internet age, I didn't have access to as much stuff as there is now. I had a few VHS tapes. Seeing a live show was as good as it got living in the heartland. Now with the interwebs, you can watch thousands of clips for free - both amateur and professional - day or night. Wait . . . are we talking about Van Halen or porn?

Dude... I flew from Brazil just to catch both MSG concerts. These were my first Van Halen dates and I've been waiting for this moment for around 10 years! So yes, I guess I have one of the biggests post-show depressions on this boards!

I will deal with it the only way I know how.

By going to the Philly show on Monday.

Might see the Reading show too. Not too far and excellent seats are going cheap.

Happens to me too every time I see them.

Glad to see I'm not the only one.

I was lucky to be able to see them twice in one week, on Tuesday and Thursday. I was on a high all week. But sitting at my office desk on Friday, it was like I had the shakes or something, LOL.

Part of me wants to try to go see them one more time, maybe in Atlantic City. But another part of me thinks maybe I need to step away and find another outlet. It's too friggin addictive!

I have floor 2, row 5 seats for AC on 3/24, but then they announced that Reading show on 3/26. Well that arena is 15 minutes down the road from my house! We got tickets for my wife and my brother's wife at least so they could go. Thing is, my son is high-functioning autistic and we have a hell of a time finding anyone (including our relatives) who can watch him, so my wife and I can rarely go out together. Still, I am scheming some way to get to that Reading show...

I almost thought you were going to say the AC show tix were for sale. I was just discussing with several other people how I need more! So I may go to AC if I can get some tix. I had a shot at Mohegan tonight but my daughter was sick earlier today.

I walked out of VH, MSG, NYC, on 3/31/1984 (Saturday night), on the greatest euphoric high of my life and still haven't come down since. VH is my sunshine and anti-depressant - for life!

I don't know if I'll be bummed after my show is behind me. I'll likely feel content.
I've never had post show depression.

Right now I only plan to see them in Philly. I've been keeping daily tabs, real excited about it all and checking out all the show threads to see how they did, what they played etc. A lot of excitement finally building up to see them this go round.

Likely after the Philly show I'll take a little break from it but I'll enjoy watching live vids, pics, reviews etc as the tour rolls along. I get a kick out of it and will likely feel satisfied that ADKOT rules, got a chance to see them live and all that.

I wish my schedule and life allowed me to see multiple shows. I know a few people and have seen people here talk about seeing 10 + plus shows a tour...some over 20 etc.. Man that would be a trip and a blast.
