Default 2012 Tour - Wireless systems

Anyone know the wireless systems Eddie and his son are using?
To my knowledge, Eddie was against going wireless for loss/ change in tone during their last tour.

    Thanks tommytom11.

To me, Eddies tone in some of the clips I have seen from the 2012 tour is much less thin (as best as I can describe my opinion of his tone) than the LWAN DVD I own, which is why I am curious as to the system he is now using.

Amps and guitars have changed, I know, but tone still seems more "cable like" this time around.

I wonder how difficult it would be to grab the wireless signal and record it.

That's actually the first time I've ever heard of such an idea, but it's an interesting one to say the least!

I am glad Ed went back to a wireless system. The balance tour was the last time (95) he used one live and his sound was AMAZING. I know he was not totally pleased with any of the wireless systems but frankly since 98 he has been sticking with the "cord is best due to less signal loss" but for the last 14 years he has been tripping over the dumb things, getting them caught on mic stands, always trying to unravel them etc and quite frankly I saw him in 07/08 constantly losing his guitar signal. Never could understand how he wanted to deal with all that confusion with a cord on a big live stage when he could go wireless and be like he is now. Just seems so much more sensible. Always LOVED his live sound with wireless ever since the 5150 tour and this tour, his sound is just as good. But thats the musician in him I suppose.... constantly unsatisfied with sound and always trying to take it to the next notch. For 14 years in his mind using a cord was the way to go.

big time. more like for 14 yrs he was out of his mind, literally. running 100ft of guitar cable and another 100+ft of snake was just rediculous. his sound is way better now. compare his tone from 07-08' and what it is now. same exact equipment except for the wireless.
