Default Idea for the next video that would for sure get people talking

Here is an idea that I hope could become a reality if the right people see this. I think Van Halen has a connection with a certain celebrity that could make a big cameo for the next video that would no doubt get people talking and would get a TON of hits online and would generate more sales.

Wolf's mother Valerie stars in a TV show called Hot in Cleveland. Also on this show is a certain Hollywood legend that creates a buzz in everything she does. Yep I'm talking about Betty White. I wonder IF Valerie asked Betty for a favor if she would be up for a cameo. They would have to get really creative on how to use her to make the most impact, but I think this would be a huge coup for Van Halen if they could make this happen. Could you imagine all the headlines on all the music and entertainment websites: Betty White rocks in the new Van Halen video! I would almost guarantee this would cause a huge buzz for the band and generate sales!!

    Hey it's a thought!!

I'm not too keen on this idea but what song would it be for?

I was kind of thinking She's the Woman. Maybe the concept could be various models trying out to be in a Van Halen video and at the end Betty walks on a stage and says Is this the Van Halen video tryout??

I'm looking at this as something that could give the band a much needed buzz after the album has been out for a couple months. I would think this would do it. Heck the band wouldn't really need to even be in the video maybe just show some clips of them on stage in between.

Charlie Sheen, man! Charlie Sheen! Call Charlie Sheen!

He was at the LA show and tweeted about them. He'd love to be in a video for "She's The Woman" and hits on YouTube would roughly be in the trillions.

    Charlie Sheen:

“I’ve waited 25 years for last night. It was worth every second… Welcome back Dave Roth. Rock has a new sheriff.”
    http://www.vhnd.com/2012/02/14/slash...m-via-twitter/

Then Hagar can help by talking about Eddie and Sheen, again:

    http://www.hennemusic.com/2011/03/sa...nds-me-of.html

    Charlie! Charlie! Charlie!

A video with Charlie chasing after The Woman. Man, he was made for that song. Fate is Charlie's Pimp...and what does that make him?

Hey Sheen would work too!! Could you imagine if they could get both Charile and Betty in the same video. Talk about a video going viral and getting tons of hits and all the press.

I wouldn't be too keen on involving Charlie Sheen in anything. Ed's done some screwed up things while on drugs and alcohol but as far as I've heard he's never gotten violent with Val or Janie. Sheen is a whole other echelon of depravity. Might as well collaborate with Chris Brown. Sadly in today's permissive, fame-adled society I'm in the minority on such matters.

They already collaborated with Sheen by Eddie appearing on his TV show. The "She's The Woman" video and lyrics do not have to show Sheen in a good light or condone his behavior, in fact it can be quiet critical of him, while it uses his fame and notoriety to gain exposure for their new music. Then Sheen can talk in interviews about how music has healed and changed him.

I've always loved videoa with live footage in it. Maybe a mix of live and studio footage for the next single. I also think they should use one of the heavier tunes as the next single. HBSD or AS IS.

Yeah, Sheen would be perfect for a She's The Woman, HoneyBabySweetieDoll or As Is video.

There is no way HoneyBabySweetieDoll or As Is would ever be released as singles. They're fine as album tracks, as singles they just wouldn't work. Too experimental and out-there for singles.

They'd be great singles. They'd bring in the rock fans, unlike Tattoo or Blood And Fire. Foxy Lady was too experimental and out there to be a single. Just wouldn't work. Seriously, HBSD and As Is are not that experimental or shocking. This is 2012, not 1984. Wake up.

Agreed, best to stay away from Sheen. I'm kinda done with the Betty White punchline too.

Maybe something with Val might be funny. Like playing the mom angle with Wolfie? I dunno. Something on the comical side though, have some fun like the HFT video.
