Lol, yes, because his music recently has been so well received by a few on here.

But thanks for the snark jackass.

Musicians release music, that's what they do. The critics were not that great for the CVH albums either, if you remember. Now they're considered classics, but VH got destroyed by the press back then, by "critics who prefer Elvis Costello coz they look like him" (DLR). I don't understand why some people here say "of course they're not releasing new music, you had the audacity to criticize them!" Everyone here bought the record, me included.

I think the attitude at camp VH should be the opposite, like "wow, all those hardcore fans are still here after all the bullshit we put them through... that's some serious loyalty there, man are we lucky to have such resilient fans!"

Oh I don't doubt there are people who will buy and wear them.

Ok look, the striped shoes--I get it. Eddie wore his own homemade striped shoes on past tours. I bet Eddie noticed fans making and wearing their own homemade versions of the shoes at shows. He figured there was demand. The stripes are iconic and his signature. I can see why he did it.

But shoes with your own face on them?

That's like Chip Foose designing a car with his face on the hood.

    Just my opinion.

The shoes are cool and all, but it's just sad that a band that built it's name blowing bands off the stage....known for great live performances, back in the day, knows that fans want some sort of bootleg series, continues to just ignore their history and the fans.
We don't want shoes or shirts.....we want the damn shows! You wanna sell an item? Release, Tucson.

Wished there was all this merchandise way back in the day. Cool stuff nonetheless.

And he's concluded that he's better served releasing gear and apparel. Probably makes a lot more money doing that too with half the effort.

He gets to decide what he's better served doing, not "some people."

That's the beauty of free markets. Don't like it, don't buy it.

    "The snozzberries taste like snozzberries!"

Veruca Salt responds in an arrogant tone, "Snozzberries? Who ever heard of a snozzberry?"

Willy Wonka grabs her cheeks, pulls her face towards him and gently replies,

Just to be clear, my comment wasn't about Edward the salesperson v Edward the musician. I buy a lot of swag from Jeff. Just picked up the VH scarf, though I'm fuckin' done with winter.

My comment was about Chuck T's. The pig with lipstick saying applies to my opinion about those sneakers.

Default Random Shit That Doesn't Deserve a Thread

Those shoes are not something any grown man should wear. Theyíre very weird. The stripes are one thing these are just...well...strange. I canít believe some guys actually want to walk around with those on. But I have no doubt Jeff will sell a ton of them.

And Iím not bashing Ed or anything Jeff sells (which I have a ton of and love) I just think these particular shoes are really uncool. Shoes with Edís face on them? Wtf? I donít know man, strange. Maybe I would have found them cool when I was like 13. Thatís when these should have been around I guess.

    Exactly.

Maybe people will buy and display them in their man caves next to their mini-5150 amp and mini guitars? I have no idea.

    Yes, I think they will.

Count me as one of the people who would love to wear them. They sent me the prototype several months ago, and I wore them every day to get a feel for how they are, and how they are sized. And I loved them! I fact, I kind of assumed I could keep them, so I was really bummed when they made me FedEx them back to them so that Eddie's friends could try them out. (The ones I had were size 10.5, and it was the only 10.5 they made, so they needed them. We had to make sure they ran true-to-size with most sneakers).

As far as his picture on it, I think it's a needed addition to the line. It doesn't really matter if some people would not want a photo of Eddie on their shoes, because some do. They already made 7 different striped shoes, so this is the eighth pair, and finally one with his photo on it.

Led Zeppelin, coincidentally, just came out with their new line of shoes this week. Those don't have band member photos on them, but Jimi Hendrix has released official shoes with his photos on them, too. So now rock fans can have photos of the two most legendary guitar players on their shoes, if they want. Iconic rock 'n' roll shoes! Of course nothing is for everyone, that goes without saying. But I think it's fun to have them to wear and/or to display and collect.

I just listened to the Beat It solo about six times in a row, via my Thriller cd.
Arguably my favorite Eddie solo, after Eruption...
