Default So where does VH go from here?

So we have the brand new album, the brand new tour, the brand new stage and etc. But the question now that the excitement has started to subside and the reality of a new album has been (well as of tomorrow) released, where do they go from here. I am finding myself now, after listening to the album non-stop for the last few days, putting it away and listening to other music (VH and otherwise). Maybe it was overload from the past few weeks leading up to the moment of first listen. But now I find myself just kinda like... okay, now what?

Maybe it is the nearly 15 years since VHIII, or the 28 years since 1984, but I feel like something is missing. I am looking forward to the tour, but it is just this weird empty feeling. Who knows, maybe I am over thinking it way too much and still in a haze over the damn patriots choking last night...

Hmmm, I think from here, they go on tour and kick the world's ass, maybe release YAYB or BAF as another single, watch the cd go platinum while on tour, A year from now the tour ends, take a 3 year break and do it all again. 2016 here you come.

Honestly I haven't even thought of where do they go from here since I am no where near done with here.
Now they tour for the next 5 months and we get dozens of new live dvd's, audience filmed of course.
I used to jog but the ice cubes kept falling out of my glass.

    Excitement starting to subside?

The album isn't officially out until tomorrow and the tour hasn't even started yet.

Jeez. The drama that vhlinkers will sink to. Just because YOU find the record lackluster doesn't mean everyone else does. Why in the world should your take on the situation be the way it actually is? The band is likely pretty damn happy about how things are going so far and have no intention of switching gears.

I think this is the last album. The reality is that 80% of this album is rehashed music, and I don't they have enough "original scoring/writing" left in the coffin to do another album. Everyone should enjoy the album for what it is, enjoy the tour, and let it be.

By the way, the lyrics to Big River and Beats Working really punish die hard VH fans. I find myself singing the lyrics to Big Trouble and Put out the Lights when I listen to the new versions. I don't understand why they felt the need to insert totally different lyrics...kind of schizophrenic.

Ha ha ha! I've been doing the same thing. It's hard after listening to these things for almost 20 years.

Could not have said it any better.

I learned long ago to live in the moment, and I am going to thoroughly enjoy this "moment" tomorrow, on 3/28 in DC and 4/1 in Chicago, and all the way through the end of the tour.
