    Default Ticket Sales

I'm curious.. Has there been any word how the tickets have been selling? I checked a couple of the venues out of curiosity and there are still some good lower level seats available.. So, I'm assuming there's a lot of higher level seats available too. I'm figuring once the album is released and concert reviews come out, the sales would pick-up a bit.

The DC show sold out quickly. A few other are sold out as well, including Chicago, Louisville, NYC, LA, Vegas.

My feeling is this tour is going to be a very hot ticket, given the press coverage. Remember. the last tour in 07-08 pretty much sold out basically without any press.

I think most shows if not all will be sold out. But if you are looking for tickets, down to the wire, good deals will be available. Demand will not be so high, once all shakes out with the glut of tickets the scalpers will have, good deals will be there.

we've bought tickets to 4 shows. in order to do that i did not buy VIP package. i'm kind of bumming out about it now. in 04 i did it and it was awesome. if they would have had soundcheck again i would have done it for sure. i still want it bad though, it's just a lot of jack. the backstage thing, the beers and food, hanging out with other die-hards; wish i would have done it.

That isn't my feeling at all.

For the shows that did sell out, the aftermarket is completely dead. The "platinum seats" are dropping like a rock. You can get 10th row floor tickets for Boston for $199 now from ticketmaster - that's barely above face.

A few markets might be tight, but for the most part, these sell outs were scalper driven and they are going to be dumping tickets left and right.

Sales won't be anything to be ashamed of but I think when all is said and done, they'll have sold more tickets on the previous tour than this one.

Toronto is down to just the odd single ticket (at least available at regular prices). That's the only market I pay much attention to. I would not be shocked to see a 2nd night added later in the tour.

Sorry man...the people who actually care about the new CD - the super fans - have likely already bought tickets. The quality of the new CD isn't going to have much effect on ticket sales, most people just want to hear the hits anyway and will be getting beer during the new songs. I think the new CD is great and look forward to hearing those songs, but the vast majority of the public won't care.

Here's what I'm talking about...New Hampshire...look at how cheap the platinum seats are. These are tickets that people here paid $400 or more to get in the VIP ILAA deals...This is happening for plat sales at VH shows across the country. The new CD isn't suddenly gonna reverse that.

It would be nice if Sammy and Dave would fucking grow up. Both have more money and fame than all of us put together. For once, Sammy could wish VH well with Roth. DLR could at least acknowledge the contributions of Hagar, Anthony, and Cherone.

Christ, if Mustaine can get along with Metallica, there is no reason that all members of VH - past and present - couldn't be publicly civil.

I believe he has, at least, paid kudos to the abilities and contribution of MA. The Hagar thing may have to wait.

They may add one later...but much later. Think about 2007...they sold out show #1 almost instantly and the second date was added quickly after. That tour had the hype of the first tour with Dave since the 1984 tour. To be honest, outside of this site I am not hearing many people talking...

I don't see them adding a second show for the reasons you listed. This show still isn't sold out. Last time around tickets were fully sold out in a couple days.

It only took 10 posts for it to become a Sammy vs Dave issue.
