Now this is for all of the fans of Sammy and Dave. Let me premise this by saying that a local radio station announced that Guns & Roses are getting $79.50 for seats for an upcoming show.

If after the VMA's is any indication as to what you are in for in buying that ticket, you are getting robbed.

My point is this, if they can command that much $$$$ for a ticket, what COULD a reunited Van Halen with either Sam or Dave command a ticket?

VH reunion= $100 a ticket, easy!
I've been saying it for 17 years now and I reiterate, I would pay ANY PRICE to see Diamond David Lee Roth, Edward Van Halen, Alex Van Halen and Michael Anthony play music on the same stage again

We all know a VH reunion would also be the biggest concert draw EVER. Who else could do a legitimate "reunion" with their original lineup?

Well the Stones were getting $125/ticket, the Who are getting $115/ticket. A reunited Van Halen would be able to "set the market" I would think.

You're all talking about bands who didn't drag their fans through an unnessasary soap opera of who hates who. There is no longer a feel good party atmosphere eminating from these dudes. A believable one that is. 6 years ago I would have paid $115 for a good seat to see a show by VH. But after paying over $50 a piece for the D&S gig they would have to have had a smash hit new album to buy back my support.

As much as I love VH, I wouldn't pay $115 for a seat to see John lennon resurrected from the dead and joining the Beatles for a show. Sorry.

I'll pay top dollars to see BOTH Dave and Sammy reunite with VH for a farewell tour.

I'll pay 20 bucks to see Sammy back in the band.
Ditto for Gary Cherone.

I won't pay shit if DLR is back in the band.

Eddie was right, Dave can't sing. He's done. It's better that he's a has been than a never was, but he can't bring anything new to the table and I wouldn't pay to see him squeak out his oldies again.

Sammy can still sing. I'd pay to see EVH and Mikey and Alex do "judgement day" and some other stuff from F.U.C.K.

100 bucks a seat, up close, in a place that seats 7,000 or less. Done deal. otherwise forget it.

Sammy or Dave reunion.....$150. I would pay that just to see my boy Eddie burn up the fret board.

Not one dime over $50 for ANY concert by ANY band.
Concerts are too expensive these days, and to add on parking, food, merchandise...forget it. Wait for the video, cheaper.

I paid $550.00 a seat front row to see Dave on this summer's tour. Sammy was free because I would not pay to see him in his fat clown suit!
His show looks like a BAD CIRCUS! How many old toothless drunks can they fit in those stands!!!

i don't care, i just want some fuckin music at this point...well...some fuckin news would be more like it. however, seeing as how i've been on this board for what seems like forever sometimes, i know better.

we ain't gonna get jack shit for news until they know for sure whatever it is the hell they're gonna do.

thing that bugs me is brad always shooting things down. he tells us what isn't going on, what won't happen...i.e. no box set or vma's. how about what the band is doing? like is alex still alive? if the guys aren't makin music, which one would think they ain't, wtf are they doin? shit like that. like why does ed copyright the frankenstrat colors when peavey doesn't even make one like that? i'm sorry, i love ed. but that still blows my mind.

I'm with you BK. For $50 I better be damn close to the stage or in the front row of the second tier looking down over the main floor. Even in the case of VH, regardless of the singer (DLR or SH), I'd rather wait for the DVD or catch it on pay-per-view later.
