Default NeanderPaul on KDKB Phoenix ALL NEW SONGS TODAY!!!

Once again the best true ROCK D.J. in America spins the new Van Halen album today on KDKB!!!

Guys...HoneyBabySweetieDoll is the sickest song I've heard in 30 some years!!! You know how VH always seem to have one just complete JAM song (ala Girl Gone Bad, 5150, Pleasuredome, etc.) on their album. This IS their JAM SONG for ADKT!!! It's SICK!!! I thought it was Godsmack on crack!!!

"Stay Frosty" is HUGE and instant radio hit!!!

"Outta Space" - fun uptempo song with tasty EVH licks throughhout!!!

    More to come later.........

    Nice work NeanderPaul!!! Well played!!!

New York WBAB 102.3FM announced 2.7.12 will be VH day. VH played all day with A Different Kind of Truth in it's entirety at 7PM. Too bad I will already have purchased it much earlier in the day, but still nice to hear.

I've heard the whole album and as of right now it ranks #3

I know I may be overly hyped/excited but I really think it will wind up at #3.

    Default VH on the radio

I read the thread about radio stations in other cities playing the new VH record. And happy for you guys. But here in LA, nada, zilch! VH's home town is not playing anything. And the sad part, I think, is that it has nothing to do with how good or how bad the new record is. The format of radio stations here makes it impossible for ANY new VH song to get into heavy rotation, no matter how good.
KLOS only plays classic rock hits.
The Sound plays classic rock hits and classic album rock tracks.
    Jack FM plays classic pop
KROQ is alternative and won't touch VH.

So we're left with a big dose of nothing. They do play more VH on the radio, but the old songs. They're announcing the tour with old VH classics, nothing new. It makes me realize how CONSERVATIVE LA rock radio has become. Zero risk. Sad.

Someone asked about reaction to the new songs on the air.

I got a lot of calls from people thanking us for playing something other than "Tattoo" so they have a better palette to draw from when deciding to buy the CD or not.

Most said they planned to after hearing "Stay Frosty"

I'd agree with them. it may be my favorite VH track of all-time. It has everything that makes VH different than everyone else.
