Default Eddie Trunk played "Blood & Fire" and "The Trouble With Never" on XM tonight

Eddie Trunk played "Blood & Fire" and "The Trouble With Never" on XM tonight, and so far I love everything that I've heard from the new album. "The Trouble With Never" is certainly the most rockin' of the 3 songs I've heard so far, by my personal favorite thus far is "Blood & Fire". Anyone else catch these songs on the Boneyard tonight? Can't wait until next Tuesday.

He said that "The Trouble With Never" is by far his favorite song from what he's heard so far, but that he will reserve final judgement until he's heard the album in it's entirety. He's also stated several times that he's not that impressed with "Tattoo", but that he "wanted to jump off a cliff" the first time he heard "Jump", and ended up really liking 1984 once he heard it in its entirety due to the other rockin' songs on the album such as "Top Jimmy", "Drop Dead Legs", "House of Pain", etc...

Mine too. And I don't mean "it sucks", I mean "least favorite", because there's a lot of top shelf fucking music on this CD. Blood and Fire, She's the Woman, Big River, Outta Space...oh so tasty.
The song ain't dirty it's really just the way we sing it...

I still can't come to grips with the outright hate so many VH fans have with Jump or anything else with keyboards. I guess since most of my favorite rock bands like The Who, Rush, and Led Zeppelin have such variety in their catalogs where really nothing is/was off limits I just don't place the same restrictions on what bands that I like should sound like. Hell, Judas Priest is by far my favorite metal band exactly because of their unwillingness to do the same thing over and over even though that's what a lot of their fans want. I know a lot of Priest fans who wish every song just sounded like Painkiller. I don't dislike Eddie Trunk like a lot of people around here but I think as a visible and public fan/critic of music he's got one of the shallowest views about what music should be.

I keep walking around humming Stay Frosty. I can't shake that damn song...and I love it!
Imagine a world without Eddie Van Halen.

"From the moment David Lee Roth appeared at the top of a giant runway that snaked through the Oklahoma City Ford Center audience Tuesday night, he wore the one thing that told every Van Halen fan that everything was right with the world. It was a maniacal Cheshire cat smile announcing happiness and enthusiasm that cannot be faked. Not only was the old band back together, it was thriving."

I put "The Trouble With Never" at the bottom only because it just sounds too "Crosstown Traffic" to me and not that that's a bad thing, that one just got old fast for me.

"She's the Woman" ive heard a million times as an old demo, always liked it but this new version just SMOKES!!

Wolf's bass being up front in the mix!

BULLETHEAD is badass on top of badass on top of badass. It kills! it is a complete sledgehammer of a tune. They took an excellent joke song from the 70s and turned it into a nasty, pissed-off, spitfire of a tune. THIS is the killing side of VAN HALEN!

    BULLETHEAD 2012! I want the t-shirt!
