    Default 2012 GAS

So I was checking out some sites for any NAMM news, and it seems like it was a pretty quiet one this year, not a whole lot of interesting stuff being released it seems, just more of the same ol same ol.

I was wondering what gear you guys have your eye on for this year? I was thinking something simple like a Wampler Pinnacle to add to my 40 watt Traynor. I love the clean channel on it, the gain channel is pretty good too, but the Wampler could give me a third channel. Maybe I need a new delay pedal too...not much else for me though. My Fender Wolf has completely satisfied my need for a guitar, I haven't even looked at another axe since I got the Wolf a year ago that's how happy I am with it, like it was made just for me.

Maybe I'll sell my 5150? It doesn't get much use at all and it just sits there most of the time.

I don't know, what are you guys drooling over?

I definitely have major GAS this year...

My Jet City Fusion custom is in progress and should be ready in a little less than 2 months. The fusion body looks sort of like a EBMM/Peavey Wolf/Strat/LP. It's going to be a korina body w/ maple top, korina neck w/ ebony board. HSS pickup configuration and dive only floyd...

I would like to get a 1x12 Austin Speaker Works either KTS-60 or KTS-70 cabinet if they could make me one.

Something from the NAMM show has me intrigued. It's the new 1w Marshall anniversary heads and combos. The clips of the JCM so far have me almost hook, line, sinker... The JMP is pretty cool too...

Depending on how things go, I may want to have Scott build me a Tele derivative after I enjoy the guitar I haven't even gotten yet for a while...

Don't sell that 5150! I have two heads and two slant 4x12 cabs. One I bought. The other my brother gave me when he switched to VHT. Years later he now says he misses the 5150. I think about selling mine a few times. They are great amps. They may only do one thing, but they were made to do one thing and they do it very well. Ed's first line of amps. Gotta be worth something someday! And they rock!

I had one more spot in my pedal board and on a whim I bought the Line6 M5 .. it's supposed to be 100 stomp boxes in one ... you can only do one at a time, but as I already have all MXR wah, flanger, phaser, chorus, delay, overdrive it will give me those seldom used pedals .. it could be an EQ or a Compressor or Talk Box, etc ... it's not here yet but I hope I like it as I never tried one in a store first.

I want a Midi controller for the Fractal and I'm gonna be building a few pedals myself using the Mad Bean PCB's and schematics. A friend of mine just built one of their OCD clones (Ego Driver project) and you cannot tell them apart in a side by side test and his cost 20 to build, that includes the PCB and other parts!!!!

Ok, I'll keep the 5150, you convinced me

fast98dodge you just reminded me about the 1 watt Marshalls. They do sound killer from the few clips I've heard. Shit I was thinking 2012 would be easy on my wallet.

I second that. You'll regret it. It's a great amp, and you will most likely get the urge to come back to it. I did after a 5 yr. hiatus from it.

Well I am waiting on a 51503 50w head and 1X12 cab so that should pretty much do it for me for gear for 12. I also may be looking at a stealth....
