I don't have an AMEX card, but I went on the TM site to see what was available anyway.

There were no "Platinum" seats available.

$29.50 seats only available in singles (Ex.: SEC 316 ROW H)

$49.50 seats only available in singles

    $79.50 seats -- Available in 2s ! ! ! (SEC 324 ROW C)

    $149.50 seats -- Available in 2s ! ! ! (SEC 108 ROW G)

You can SEARCH for Tickets by price only, or by Level only, or, you can specify price and level.

The floor plan used for VH is called "End Stage", which means, they will sell tickets for the arena in front of, and, behind the stage.

I noticed that the Security Question words that you have to type in are -not- case sensitive, meaning I used lower case for all words.

As to the dates around June 20th, right now the AAC does not show any events scheduled for June 17, 18, 19, or 21. So, perhaps, on one or more of those open dates, VH could add another Dallas date... ???

I may punt, and try for tickets the day of the show on TM, when seats not sold or returned not sold by whomever, are released for sale.

My limit is the $49.50 seat. But, I'd really like to be able to have a good view of the video screen. If price was no object, yeah I'd like to sit in the Platinum seats...

I have an Amex, but not the supercool ones that give the preferred seating. Right now, best available is Sec. 116, row M, seats 6 -7 for a deuce. I think I'll take my chances with the regular sale.
    Nothing to see here.

Got my VIP tickets on Wed night. Not the ultimate, but the "regular" VIP tickets. It was scary spending that much money for a single show.

But as I've gotten older, I've noticed a couple of things:

    1. I rarely pay for concert tickets any more. Other than Van Halen, every show I've attended over the past 5+ years was because of a free ticket.

    2. If I'm going to attend a show, I need to be really close. On the floor, as close as possible. As I get older, I hate sitting so far back that I have to watch the performance on the video screens. As I get older, I don't like putting up with the traffic, long lines, etc for a crappy seat. I'd rather just save the money and stay home.

So I decided to splurge and go for it. The last time I spent this stupid amount of money for a ticket was the 2004 Tour with Sammy, when I did the 5-Star package. That was the best musical experience of my life. I know that will never be topped, but I thought I'd try the VIP package again. If only soundcheck was included...

The justification for spending $595 was from 1 and 2. Of course, I didn't get pre-approval from wifey. As they say, "ask for forgiveness later"...

    Can't wait until June 20th.

Section 308. $80 tix. Picked them up just as the internet presale started. The $150 seats were further back, but on the lower level.

Not as good as I hoped for, but at least i'm in the building

    Didn't get in.....

I wanted 2 seats together, and that wasn't happening for either the $29.50 or the $49.50 seats.

For $79.50 they were going to give me 2 seats together in Section 328 Row S.
But these rafter seats are on the side of the stage, with no view of the video screen. Rafter seats for $100 each (with fees)..... NO, I will not pay $100 just to be in the building.

I still think there's got to be second show added. But when ??

Will TicketBastard put more $29.50 & $49.50 seats on sale tomorrow for the Public Sale .... Who knows how they run their Business !

    -------------------------------------------------

    FYI -- OFFICIAL PLATINUM SEATS

    TM explains:

Official Platinum Seats are premium tickets to concerts and other events made available by artists and event providers through Ticketmaster. They give fans fair and safe access to some of the best seats in the house.

Official Platinum Seats were not purchased initially and then posted for resale; they are being sold for the first time through Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster's Official Platinum Seats program enables market-based pricing (adjusting prices according to supply and demand) for live event tickets, similar to how airline tickets and hotel rooms are sold. The goal is to give the most passionate fans fair and safe access to the best tickets, while enabling artists and other people involved in staging live events to price tickets closer to their true value.

For the Dallas show June 20th, as of this morning, there were 25 pairs of Platinum seats available on the TM website. These are seats only, no packages of any kind....

I did find a "single" Thursday offered in SEC 320 Row M Seat 15, but I need two seats together, as I can't/won't go to the show, and not sit with a friend.

You may be right about the behind the stage seats. In fact, I did see where today they were offering seats in Sections 201-205. That's a nice Level, the AAC calls that their "Platinum Level".....but.... those sections are behind the stage.

    --------------------------------------------------

When I logged in to TM at 10am today (Thursday), and requested some seats, I got the screen that said "My wait time is approximately 15 minutes."

I sat there on that screen for 28minutes, then, I got the Error Message : "The requested URL/checkout/reserve not found on this server."

I went Back to the previous screen, and entered my seat selection again, but this time the message said "My wait time is approximately 1 minute."

So as I tried various requests for seats, based on price, or section, or both, I never had to wait more than 5 seconds or so.

Maybe I should have hit the Refresh Button when I had the initial "15 Minute" wait msg (which turned into the 28 minute wait).... to get to a better server ????

Perhaps I'll try yet again Sat. morning................

I got the "30 minute" message, then tix came up just as I was about to try again.

A number of Springsteen dates went on sale today, as well. I can't imagine the server firepower they have to have for days like this.
