Was a little undecided on Tattoo when I first heard it but I've listened to it about a half a dozen times now and think its a great song.

I hear it frequently on 104.1 The Hawk (classic rock out of Modesto).

I think I have seen every one of those shows you've been to except for the two 1998 shows. I bet I spilled beer on you at least once - lol.

Some tweets from a UK DJ regarding getting hold of a promo copy of Tattoo

    https://twitter.com/#!/iancamfield

Why have the lazy Universal promo dept not serviced @VanHalen @xfm and most of the UK? @irvingazoff Sort it out. Your UK promo is shocking

And @irvingazoff If you want to get VH here, get the promo sorted like the great manager you are. Don't leave it with these clueless fucks.

Maybe someone from @irvingazoff should be asking why almost no one has new Van Halen in the UK. It's like Universal didn't bother....

Now, there's a surprise..."Rest of the world? What rest of the world?"

Somebody on here told me that he'd heard a rumour that VH would be touring the UK in September...I've searched and searched the internet and I can't find anything to substantiate that rumour. Maybe somebody out there knows different - but this DJ definitely seems to have a point regarding an almost total lack of interest in anywhere outside of North America.

Yes, Tommywho5150 told me about that one.

But again, we've heard rumours about VH appearances at UK festivals before, haven't we - and they've yet to come to anything, damn it!

I know I've said before that I wouldn't do a festival but if that really was to be their only UK appearance, I suppose I'd have to grin and bear it.

My mates and I are thinking of hiring a camper van for the occasion - and we've found an illuminous green one being advertised on the internet, called, you guessed it, VAN HALEN. Has to be done, doesn't it!?

I've heard it twice on radio since it dropped. Once on day one, and only one more time the second day.
Since then, I've combed all my local stations and nothing.
Mind you there is very little middle ground stations in Vancouver, except for Jack FM, which plays a fair gamut of genres, but here it's mainly hit or miss for rock stations...narrow focus classic rock with a horribly repetetive playlist, or the typical "modern rock" crap geared toward 13 and 14 yr old,. and not surprisingly I have not even heard mention of it there.
Still, 16 not bad for a single with little to no terrestrial airplay.

I haven't heard it on terrestrial radio in the DC area yet.
Taylor Swift is nice to look at. Adele can sing.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

Mediabasae, which is where radio stations report to, had it at #9 on the Mainstream Rock chart, and #27 on the Active Rock Chart.

On the station I work at, I played it 4 times over the weekend alone. On it's debut (1/10) we played it the top of every hour from 6a-7p. Then we entered it in to our Power Current category, giving it the maxiumum amounts of spins per day. Which is apporx. 8-10.

I don't listen to radio at all, but my wife told me she's heard it a few times on our local classic rock station.
