Pics of the merch booth in Louisville - note, not the main merch booth which had a few more items. Thanks to Ron Pio for the shots.

No, the main merch stand had more shirts and stuff available. Most of them can be found on the FanFire site.

OK. You don't like them. I think they are pretty sweet. But you'd settle for a bootleg that is not an official design by the band? mmmk. As a VH fan I can't look people in the face and act like "Yeah I went to the show" and then point to my fake shirt with pride. I found out I'd ordered a bootleg tour shirt that was pretty much an exact replica of the 1984 shirt and I tossed it out once I knew it was a fake. I don't think it's cool to wear something inauthentic when it comes to tour shirts. But that's just me.

An honest question. Are you involved in bootleg t-shirts. Not trying to be a smart ass, it's just that you've linked to bootlegged ebay shirts 4 or 5 times in different threads. Now you mention that you're looking forward to the bootleg ones. Just wondering, and it doesn't bother me either way.

    I find this puzzling.

Bootleg t-shirts are as much rock n roll as rock n roll. They are a concert tradition - complete with bad spelling and these days bad photoshop.

Not everybody wants to spend $40 on t-shirt. sometimes it's fun to pick up one for ten bucks and use it when you work out.

As far as taking another $40 out of Van Halen's pocket? Pretty hard to feel bad about that after dropping almost $400 for tickets.

It is the way the world works. You charge $40 for a t-shirt, you hope to get more money in sales. Doesn't always work. The higher you go, the less sales you get, and more chances of bootlegs eating into sales.

Look at the NFL. For years, their authentic jersey's were $300+. Had they been $80, they would have sold tons more and probably made more money. Instead, there are tons of websites selling them for $25 from China.....when I go to a Steeler game, I bet 95% of the jersey's I see on folks are fake. That represents a price problem.
    Right here I say....

Ok cool. I like them better than the last tour. Looks like more of a variety. I'd like to see them in person.

These all look like a graphic designer just used downloaded clip art files and stuck the VH on it.. You could put any bands logo next to these designs..

it be cool if they hired a real artist, like the guy who designs all of Iron Maiden's merchandise.. something personal and unique..

    Live Nation Merchandise

I just noticed a discrepancy with this particular site where the VH 2012 Tour merch is located.

It says "Live Nation" in the upper left hand corner of the web page, but it's actually "Fan Fire", as 5150Sooner originally posted.

Today, I received a "Happy President's Day Sale-25% Off All Merchandise Storewide" newsletter in my email from Live Nation. When I opened it, I naturally immediately started looking for the Van Halen 2012 merch so I could get my 25% discount, because I'm thinking "Perfect timing! I'm gonna clean up!", and the only Van Halen item that kept coming up repeatedly was the double-vinyl of ADKOT. No t-shirts or anything else Van Halen related appeared.

So, if anyone is thinking they're gonna go to Live Nation's merchandise site and find any Van Halen 2012 Tour swag, it's not gonna happen. The only place you'll find it is at the Fan Fire site. Why Fan Fire has the Live Nation logo on their page, though, is beyond me. It was really misleading.
"Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that."

"This is a lttle prayer dedicated to the separation of church and state. I guess if they are going to force those kids to pray in schools they might as well have a nice prayer like this: Our Father who art in heaven, and to the republic for which it stands, thy kingdom come, one nation indivisible as in heaven, give us this day as we forgive those who so proudly we hail. Crown thy good into temptation but deliver us from the twilight's last gleaming. Amen and Awomen. ."

Anyone know if that "Sunset beach" t-shirt on the fanfare.com site was available at the concert (it doesn't show in ron's photos above)? Very cool.
