    TV Options

Hey guys, I was wondering what your opinions of the newer TVs are. I am willing to spend around $1200.00 for one, but am not sure which one to get to be truthful. I know I would like one that is 55" and is capable of running netflix by itself. Internet apps...digital tuner...Just wondering what experiences everyone has had and would recommend. Thanks in advance!

I go my 50" Plasma Samsung at Costco...has media center built in but no Netflix.
Picked up a Samsung 5800 BluRay..it had netflex, better media center, youtube, twitter, facebook, etc...then I plugged the TV into my computer as well...that way have have access to everything.
Paid < $800 last year for it!
Finally trying to pick up guitar after too many years.

    Bought a Samsung 7000 series.

I wish I bought a Panasonic plasma instead.

The picture on a plasma is more warm and real by miles.

I think I was enticed by the frameless look of the Samsung.

Samsung has one of the best TVs out there. And for the price! I have owned 4 of them through the years, and never had an issue with any of them. If you get a chance, go to Best Buy and look at a Samsung next to another TV in the same class (LED, LCD, etc). I think you will see for yourself what I am saying.

I bought a 65VT30 for the living room. 65" of plasma goodness, it's awesome. I have a 42" plasma in the bedroom.

I'd go Panasonic plasma, I have 2 of them and would buy them again.

Thanks for the advice guys! I think I have narrowed it down to 2 options at this point.

    http://www.samsclub.com/sams/shop/pr...z%20SPS%20HDTV

    OR

    http://www.samsclub.com/sams/shop/pr...n%20240%20HDTV

I know the first one was mentioned as a good one earlier, but has anyone here owned the 2nd one I listed? I cannot find the actual price on the 2nd one. I would spend the bit more for the extra size if it were worth it.

Any input on either of these would be greatly appreciated!
