    Ohhh! You mean "wah"!
I thought reading the header of the thread you meant "Club Wha? on She's the Woman"
It's a fair amount but he's used wah a lot more extensively live over the past number of years. I saw a clip from the 04 tour of them doing Dream is Over, and the solo had very heavy wah on it. I think actually more than this, as well on the 07 leg, a clip where he used wah on the solo for YRGM which was just crazy sounding.
I'm not such a fan of his Dunlop wah though. I liked it when he used one of his old ones on tunes like Cabo Wabo. It was a less aggressive tone which just to me sounds better, but to each their own.

Do you like the Eddie with the wah?

I liked Ed's Wah use when it was more sparse. He uses it a lot now--a little too much, IMO.

I've accepted it now- it's basically his modern lead tone. Back in the old days sure enough he would click on the Phase 90 right before a solo, now it's very often the wah. In many cases he's not pedal to the metal with it, he's using it to modulate the tone a bit in the middle of the travel. The songs themselves and the leads and fills he's playing more than make up for the use of the wah. The other day I was thinking, in a humorous way of course, that perhaps Ed has always been a closet wah user and he's been listening to Satriani a lot and figured what the heck he may as well just use it. But we know that couldn't be right since Ed doesn't listen to any other music.

I am thinking he is listening more to Page lately, as I here a lot of that cocked wah tone all over the new album.
