    Default Atlantic City 3/24

Can someone explain to me how in the hell do people have tickets for this event when they have not even gone on sale yet?

I know with some other venues with sports teams, that season ticket holders with a PSA automatically get tickets to all concerts and other events. I'm not sure if that is the case in this instance. I live in the area and am waiting to see when the general public tix will go on sale. Van-halen.com still says "coming soon".

I called the Boardwalk Hall this morning and the lady I spoke to told me she heard these tickets should be going on sale 1/28.

Got my tickets for the Boardwalk Hall show!!

Paid $1000 per seat the last go 'round. Got lucky & pulled 2nd row, end seats, right in front of Ed. Day of the show, though, even after calling the venue twice to inquire about my seating issues & how/if it would affect my VIP seating package & was told there would be no issue, due to the fact that I'm in a wheelchair they made me move to Wolf's side of the stage. With the monitor placement & my low seat I couldn't even see Ed for most of the show. Though Dave did come to the edge of the stage & make eye contact with me several times, which was pretty damn cool. (Haha...as I re-read, I feel like a 16 year old girl for just typing that...what an ass.)

Anyway, this time I decided to go the regular HC seating route. Unfortunately the only HC seats in the Hall are in the mezzanine level, but at least I'm on Ed's side of the stage this time. Section 123 (at the back of the section I presume) & I'm psyched!

Woohoo, just picked up floor 2, row 5 for AC 3/24! Not cheap, but not too bad either. Not sure of the seat numbers yet, but perhaps that little ramp that sticks out will be right beside us.

If anyone here has attended concerts at AC Boardwalk Hall, what is the parking situation? I have searched the web a bit and obviously it isn't a situation like the Wells Fargo Center in Philly (where I'm used to going) which has its own large adjacent parking lots. The text below the line is from the Boardwalk Hall web site and it's a bit scary. I've been to AC quite often but not in a number of years, and I guess we would survive a late night walk on the boardwalk back to their parking garage after the show. I've also read that their parking garage isn't very large so it might be full regardless. I'm not leaving my car at a private lot where I need to leave the keys. The other alternative would be to park in one of the nearby casino garages such as Bally's. I'd imagine with VH in town that night the casino parking garages in general will be more full. My brother has a comp room which can be used at Bally's or Ceasar's so we might just use that as our crash pad and drive home the next morning. Too bad we don't have a comp room at Trump Plaza since it's connected to Boardwalk Hall. Not paying $250 for a standard room there however. Open to suggestions from any AC concert vets...

    ==========================
Guests driving into Atlantic City will find economical parking located throughout Atlantic City in municipal lots and privately owned garages. Guests are encouraged to park in any of the 13,000 available parking spots in close proximity to Boardwalk Hall.

The Boardwalk Hall parking garage, centrally located in Atlantic City, is just steps away from the Boardwalk, beaches, shopping dining and entertainment. The garage is located at the end of Mississippi Avenue and the Boardwalk. Take the ramp down into the tunnel and make your first right.

I saw Sammy in AC a few months ago at the House of Blues inside the Showboat and it was $15 to park. I think most of the hotels have the same time of setup, for those only going for the day etc. However if you are staying overnight, I'd suggest staying at one of the hotels versus the AC outskirts.

I live 20 minutes from A.C. and go there all the time. If you go 2 blocks away from the boardwalk there is street parking for free which I use all the time when I go shopping there.

Cool guys, thanks for the tips. I'm feeling much better about the AC parking situation. So we have our great seats and AC is a two hour drive for me but as long as I'm not hitting Philly at rush hour it's a straight shot. Before I was married I used to drive it quite a bit on all night gambling jaunts and drive back home around 5 AM the next morning. So you may have heard about the VH show in State College, PA that was cancelled. Well the replacement show is at the Sovereign Center in Reading, PA on 3/26, and this is 15 minutes from my house. Figures! Plus that arena only seats 7,000 so it will be an intimate show from almost any seat in the house. So now I'm scheming to hit the AC show and then get some "cheap seats" for the Reading show two nights later. I mean, how can I NOT see VH 15 minutes from my freakin' house?

Somehow Reading is getting on the map. I will admit, despite the death and destruction of downtown Reading, the Sovereign Center arena is a pretty cool little place. I am crossing my fingers that somehow Chickenfoot ends up there when they go out on tour. Anyway, at the AC show we will be in section Floor 2, row 5, seats 1 and 2 if you want to say hi. With your VIP seats you wont be all that far away, and perhaps several rows in front of me. Perhaps I am misreading your post and your VIP package is in Reading (cool). We ended up buying nice 100 level seats for my wife and my brother's wife for the Reading show. Couldn't swing babysitting so that all of us could go together to the Reading show. My wife and my brother's wife were actually excited about Kool & The Gang opening and they also like Van Halen (very casual fans).

Can't wait for the AC show! I am on the floor sect 4 row 3. I was going to try and swing the Reading show but it's just 2 days later so I can't do it. Funny, my local rock station WMMR has been playing ads for the Reading show. In the ad the guy says "Philly and AC shows are both sold out", which is a lie. Thought it was funny that they have that in the radio ad.

    Default 3.24 Tickets - 5th Row - For Sale

I have two Ticketmaster "platinum" tickets to the Boardwalk Hall show for sale. FLR 3, Row 5 (Fifth Row, on Eddie's Side). PM me if you're interested. I paid 325.00 per ticket.

I planned to go to AC when it looked like it was impossible to get good tickets for the DC show. TM added more platinum tickets for Washington DC last week. DC is local for me, so I grabbed a pair of those and now I am leaning against going to A/C as well.

Long time lurker, finally registered today. But I was a VHML member in its oldest days.
