    Default Florence + The Machine

Florence Welch, my very favorite voice in music today. And she's good on the eyes too. I think I'm in love

That being said, I think her outfit is outstanding. An indie grouping I wouldn't call rock or pop or folk, but kind of an interesting cross between the three. Her voice carries the music so incredibly well and they just have such a unique sound, figured I'd share for fans around here, or introduce to you Linkers if you haven't heard of her already.

You should probably check out Kate Bush who predates FaTM by a couple decades and clearly is an influence. Viddy this live clip out with David Gilmore(!) on guitar and Tony Franklin (of The Firm, etc!!) on bass from around '86:

Oh I know all about Kate Bush (Peter Gabriel fan, opened up that door). She is definitely an influence and a hell of an artist.

That's a great clip you posted, too.

I like FaTM's sound. Her voice is very reminiscent of Bush, and they have this folksy/indie sound that's pretty unique to them, at least in the popular music stratosphere. Ceremonials may have been my favorite release of 2011.
